I've just finished a day on the Barrow River with gowiththeflow.ie... words can hardly explain what an amazing experience this was. I was one of five middle-aged men, full of intrepidation, with very little river or canoeing experience... to put ourselves in the capable hands of Charlie, who runs gowiththeflow. He spent just the right amount of time with us,... More

An easy walk along the river with lots of picture worthy views of farm animals , wild birds and quaint cottages. A visit to Duisk Abbey in Craiguenmamagh and a pub lunch. Then back along the river to St. Mullins.

Trip was brilliant: paddling down the river by day, seeing fish, kingfishers, plant life and keeping out eyes peeled for otters. Dropped into towns for supplies and camped on... More

Kingfishers, an egret, and watching a bat catch insects in the noon sun above the water. . . plus no cars, made this a great trip. We spent two pleasant days cycling down the towpath from Leighlinbridge to St Mullins and back again. It's about 30km each way -- not very long -- and easily done in a day, but... More
