Staff could not have been more welcoming and charming. My wife and I had an early tee time and those who checked us in and organised my wife's caddie were friendly and helpful. And Mark, our Caddie was a pleasure to be with. Helpful and good company. We wandered the course as a 2 ball and despite numerous stops for... More

Even if you don't play golf then just walk this course for the breathtaking views. This is a nice links course running along the wild Atlantic way overlooking the ocean. Surrounded by two golden Sandy beaches and a ruin castle. play, walk, visit, who cares? It's stunning

We played Tralee in mid July of 2016 on a picture perfect day and it is absolutely the most beautiful golf course I have ever played! The back 9 of this course is unlike anything I have ever played. Everyone in our group rated this as the best golf experience we had during the trip and we played some other... More

We played Tralee as our first of six Irish courses. What a way to begin!! Great layout - designed by Palmer. Outstanding introdction to links golf (a few of us have played Scotland but most of our 8 guys were new to this style). Almost two courses in one: the front nine is 'flat' and the back nine winds thru... More

Absolutely fantastic course. Best course I've ever had the pleasure of playing in Ireland. Tough but fair and the views are incredible. Have already booked our return. ***** 5 stars all the way

Very challenging course. The rough is deadly and there is lots of it. Wind, elevation changes and diabolical greens round out the threats. Despite this I loved the course. Views if the holes and surrounding landscapes are simply stunning. We had a caddie (Owen - our first ever) who was helpful and entertaining (in the way only the Irish can... More

Played there and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Greens were fast and true. The only negative was pace of play - five and a half hours for the round. The caddie was very helpful and the course was in very good shape. With so many holes on the bay, scenery was great.

We are delighted you enjoyed the course, we are a sorry to hear that the round took five and a half hours. The average round of golf is now 5 hours, which some might consider is also too long. I will check into the day and see why we were so slow. regards More

This links course has fast greens, beautiful fairways with magnificent views. I definitely recommend a caddie to everyone who plays here for the first time. We were lucky with the weather and so we did enjoy the game there even more. The course is quite difficult and requires good performance if you don't want to loose many balls.

I played Tralee while on a golf trip around the Republic of Ireland. I also played Doonbeg, Lahinch Old, Ballybunion Old, Old Head, The Island, and Portmarnock Championship. Of these courses, Tralee was probably the third best course after Lahinch and Portmarnock, and in regards to fun, Tralee is only behind Lahinch. The mixture of true links golf, quirky holes,...
