We had such luck of good, sunny weather. There were five in our party, three of whom were our teenage children. We had a marvelous time on the walk with the hawk enjoying the stories and information about the bird. Each one had a turn...More

Amazing to be out in the country with no one around, learning how to hold and receive a hawk. My 11-year-old son and I were instantly thrown into the deep end and felt a little anxious about the hawk flying right over our heads. Being...More

We booked the Falconry walk for our family; 2 adults, 2 grandparents, and 2 pre-teens. It was awesome! We laughed and learned all at once. We loved the falcon interaction- it was fantastic to get an up close experience with these birds. But the cherry...More

Amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also suggested many great photo and video opportunities. Absolutely loved learning about the hawks and having personal interaction with one, along with some owls. I highly recommend doing this if you’re taking a trip to Ireland!

Need suggestions for a privet experience (10 Replies)
Hi there, My husband and I are going to Ireland at the end of this month for a sort 6 day ( better than nothing right?). I would appreciate if anyone have a special privet experience ideas for meals I want to arrange it ahead of time. We are going from Dublin South through Galway and back to Dublin, I already booked the Halk Walk at Killarney Falconry . The Bunratty medieval dinner is fully booked so....if anyone can help I would appreciate it Thank y’all

Are you wanting to have a private meal, OR seeking suggestions to prebook a dinner reservation in a restaurant. As you mentioned the Bunratty , perhaps venues like Brazen Head Pub, Merry Ploughboys, Taylors Three Rock , or show at Arlington Hotel (all in Dublin) might be of interest.
Thoughts and suggestions for first leg of Ireland trip (5 Replies)
I have gotten a fairly decent rough itinerary for my upcoming trip to Ireland with my 12 year old son next July. Since Ireland and this forum is my porn I thought I'd start getting better ideas about the details for my different sections. In general we stay 2-3 nights/area. Four Clare we will be spending 3 nights in Tulla, and I would like to get better ideas of how to best plan my time there. Day 1. Arrive Shannon airport at 7AM, pick up rental car, deal with phone stuff and drop bags at...More

Lots of suggestions already on your earlier questions so not much to add. Not sure I would dedicate 2 days exclusively to west Clare from an east Clare base? There is an observatory at Mountshannon for the white tail eagles might be worth a quick visit while you are there seeing Gerard for Holy Island. Mountshannon Hotel does some decent bar food. If you decide to have a day going up to Portumna for the Castle, Workhouse and Forest park the Ferry is good for food as is the Half Barrel as...More

Falconry Experience (4 Replies)
I'm hoping to experience a Falconry Experience whilst traveling in Ireland and one of nicest programmes I came across was of Falconry Ireland. I don't drive. Can anyone recommend how best to get there and have they done this experience? I will be travelling to Galway is there a place closer I would easily travel to?
