Place needs a major face lift. Most of all though a lot of the enclosures look to small and are really not in great shape. The kids playground is not inviting.

We visited Coolwood Wildlife and it was €22 for 2 adults and 1 child. When you arrive you have about a 10 minute walk up a mountain path to get the wildlife area. Its quiet a nice walk and buggy friendly. There is a playground on the way to the wildlife area.....have to say the playground was creepy, it was... More

We enjoyed our trip to Coolwood so much! I particularly enjoyed the biodiversity preserved by the park, it was interesting to see biodynamic bogs as part of the forest which have not been drained, and imagine how much of Ireland used to also look in more ancient times. We are Canadians and had to smile when they showed us the... More

While some animals seemed to have appropriate housing, like the rabbits and geese, others were in desparate need of bigger and cleaner cages, like all the birds, monkeys, chinchillas and raccoons. Especially the owls seemed distressed.

We came here 3 years ago and to be honest very little seems to have changed, The shop is the same the first play area is the same. Some of the enclosures look very shabby and quite small in comparison to what we are used to seeing in the UK. Some of the enclosures tell you what animal is in... More

We came upon this place by flook while camping in Killarney. Reasonably priced for family of 4 with every type of animal from a puppy to an owl to a goat wandering the path. Yes, it could do with a little TLC, but in the grand scheme of things every animal looked well cared for and our 6 year old... More

Even though most of the kids enjoyed it I found it very disappointing in comparison to others, such a shame as so much more could be done to make it more attractive, some of the cages were empty and spaces where cages use to be, very boring and much better alternatives nearby IMO

Overall we had a great day out in Coolwood Park. Particularly kids were happy. Agree with other reviewer that toilets are too far.
