It's easy to see why Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting were so enamoured with this view; it's beautiful. We visited Kerry during the week the hospitality industry was opening back up from lockdown, and things were still very quiet in terms of tourists (it was ideal for driving the Ring of Kerry).. When we pulled up to the Ladies View viewpoint, there was nobody else around, and for a second I felt transported back to 1861 while I took in the scenery. It's hard to beat the jaw-dropping views from the sea cliffs, but this was one of many highlights on our road trip!

Located 12km drive outside of Killarney town it is a must see location. The views are amazing. Their is a cafe located at the viewing point and around 20 parking spots. There is a small walkway to the views and is well worth the short drive.

Weather permitting, it is worth locating and taking a photo. The road is narrow and very busy during the high season. Fortunately, in October, we had as much time as we needed to take photos and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this spectacular view.

It was a cold and wet morning in February when I went to see the view. It is well worth your time to see the beauty of the valley full of lakes. The birds were abundant, the grass was long. green and wild. The road to get here is very crooked, so drive very carefully. If possible, get a ride there so you can enjoy the view along the roadside.

You can’t go to Killarney without witnessing this incredible view on a sunny day. I would say try checking the weather before leaving to go see this view as on a sunny day there is nowhere else like this in Ireland. The views are stunning.

Stunning stop on the Ring of Kerry. We were told “Ladies View was named after Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting who stopped here in 1861 and were astounded by the magnificent views”. We were astounded as well, we had a clear day and it was awe inspiring. One of our favorite stops on the Ring of Kerry.

Ladies View is about 14km from Killarney Town , along a twisty road with wonderful scenery along the way. One is able to stop at a few places along the way. We stopped on our way down.
No wonder the Queen loved this view & why its referred to The Ladies View , its endless & magnificent. A few deer also graced our presence.
Parking is available & free & right by a restaurant & gift shop. There is a open deck to enjoy a meal/drink with amazing views. We enjoyed some coffee while we soaked in the views

We drove through Killarney National Park while on holiday and thought we had seen it all after the drive through the Gap of Dunloe, but on our way back to Killarney town we saw Ladie's View and stopped to take a look. Even though the weather was overcast, this view was truly breathtaking. The play of light and shade over the mountains is beautiful.

Ladies view is wonderful. If you’re heading from Killarney, this will be one of your first real stops on the Ring of Kerry. But it seems (at least when we were there) that people would stop for 15 minutes stretch their legs and take some photos. If you are in shoes that are suitable, you can hike a little bit further out, and you will be well rewarded! My kids even found a very very friendly deer. There is a little café across the street with some wonderful pastries and some hot coffee and good bathrooms. So make this a 30 minute stop instead of a 15 minute stop, and enjoy it a bit more, then warm yourself up with a nice cup of coffee and some pastries and continue on your ring of Kerry adventure!

Despite the name, this stopping point of any of the Ring of Kerry tours can be enjoyed by everyone. Even though it was a rainy day, it was worth standing in the rain to snap some photos. Besides, you will be standing where the Queen's ladies once stood!

I'm planning a trip to the Ring of Kerry in October. We have 1 day to do it and I know in October it gets dark around 5:00. I just can't seem to get it all in. Which direction did you drive? Your pictures are amazing from the Ladies' View. Are some of them from other stops? Could you tell me how long you stayed at various places? Any info you can share with me will be greatly appreciated!
Again - your pics are amazing!!

You couldn't pay me enough to drive it myself with narrow roads and tour busses but if you are brave, drive it counterclockwise so you are meeting the busses instead of being stuck behind them. Start early...dress warm! And have the best day ever with spectacular scenery.
