Castle still under renovation in July 2017. Relatively easy to find with GPS. Follow the road signs off the main highway.

The castle is being restored at the moment but you can walk up the path to get close to it. There is an sign ay the gate that outlines the history of the castle. I will return when the restoration work is complete.

Went there in September 2013 and the place is completely covered in scaffolding and you can't go anywhere near it. I'm sure it would be fun, but just be forewarned if you're making your way down there soon.

Oh Ballymallis castle is set in a beautiful; area of Beaufort and the castle has such a wonderful hisory, it is a lovely castle

The address on TripAdvisor is wrong. Entered into two different GPS's, it lead to the same urban location- we even asked around and were told there were no ruins in that general area. Wasted several hours of vacation. :-(
