You can inspect the Round Tower and explore the ruins of a centuries old church in the middle of a cemetery that is still in use by the good people of Killarney and environs.

While this would not have been a discrete stop in our itinerary but was truly across the street from our hotel. While there is not much left of the church, the graveyard is rather fascinating as it has many old Celtic cross grave markers and is beautiful in it's own right. While I personally would not make this a destination... More

Saw it as stop with Hop on Hop off bus and would have thought it was anything significant if it had not been pointed out

We found this just by chance, as our guesthouse was right down the road and our hostess mentioned it in passing. We took the wrong turn out of the house one day and there it was! The views was gorgeous, of course, but it's also just a lovely place to see. Reading the tombstones gives you such incredible insights into... More

It's worth a short drive uphill from the town of Killarney to see the remains of a round tower and an ancient church as well as the spectacular views of the lakes and mountains in Killarney. It is across the street from the Aghadoe Hotel.

for us it was not so mutch to see. We've been there just for 5 minutes because it's a semitary. We've been there on day 6 in Ireland and we had seen fords and castles and ruïnes who are more beautifull than these

Incredible views of the mountains and lakes; in January the mountains were snow covered and they merged into the grey-white sky in a magical way. Great diversity of gravestones from the 4th Century to the present.
