We visited the cathedral as part of a 2 days stay and were lucky enough to attend a mass with the arch bishop of New York. The architecture of the cathedral is most impressive, which when combined with the story of how it was built before and after the famine is worthy of seeing.

The outside of cathedral is amazing but inside is even better! You just have to go inside, to see the stained glasses and that incredible space!

This is a beautiful old building inside and out. We walked there on Sunday morning for mass and its a beautiful walk thru town from the main street and back. It's not extravagant but elegant and well kept. Beautiful grounds and setting.

B articulate stained glass. The acoustics must be incredible. Would have been nice to have heard some music.

Looks like it was built yesterday! So much history and loads of readable information notices. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds, only us and 2 other visitors. We left at 9 a.m. and the buses were starting to arrive.
