Thirteen friends had a wonderful table with views over Galway Bay. We weren't squashed in at all and service was very attentive. Really nice atmosphere. All bar one ate a great Sunday roast, although no roast potatoes were served, only mash. Food was delicious, generous portions & all very fresh. The bill was not expensive. Thanks for a great afternoon.... More

My review is just about the catering facility and not the golf part on this occasion. The restaurant which is open to the public is located on the first floor with stunning views over Galway Bay. The menu is good with affordable prices & excellent service. Well worth a visit.

Galway Golf Club is one of the most underrated courses in Ireland. The course is beautiful and well maintained. So many memorable holes on this challenging links course. I will be back again!

You must play Galway Golf Club. It's a beautiful golf course from tee to green. You'll find your mind wandering when taking in the views. I had a wonderful day, which included avoiding the bunkers.

Unfortunately I only viewed, did not get to play, the course layout looked as though it would have been challenging, scenery colourful.

This was my first visit to the Galway GS and I was very impressed with all aspects of the club and its facilities. The course is in great shape and the clubhouse is immaculate, welcoming and obviously well run. We did not have a meal but the restaurant is clean light and airy with great views as is the bar... I organise a Group of 12 golfers playing in different parts of Ireland and being from Dundalk travelling time has been a factor in not visiting Galway. Not any more - With the motorway it is now less than 3 hours door to door This course is as good a parkland course as you will find in Ireland with great... More

This golf course has it all! Has a great view of the Aran islands and beautifully kept greens. We arrived around 7pm to buy some things from the pro shop but it had closed. We asked the bartender up stairs if we could get in and she didn't have access but went out of her way to find the pro... More

I read the reviews from other people about this course & after bringing my clubs half way around the world, I thought I would give it a try. I play golf at least twice a week & I have played many courses around the world & don't mind paying good money for good golf but the sub standard greens I... More

Should you stay in Salt Hill District of Galway, you can literally walk to this lovely course! There are 4 holes directly on Galway Bay ( a tunnel from clubhouse and rest of holes get you there). If you get the itch, they do rent clubs as well. Pro shop and restaurants on site ( yes, they have Guiness! ).... More
