One of many bars in the pedestrianised area of Galway city. It like many others are easy to walk on past, however, the Tig promised live music 7 nights a week. Guinness purchased, I stood at the back of this medium sized bar. The place was rammed with tourists with a smattering of locals spread amongst them / us as... More

Great music sessions, good beer, good service. Whenever in galway I have to drop in here at least once ( or twice...or more) If you do visit to listen to the music, at least have the courtesy to buy something ! Soeveral tourists taking up spaces and buying nothing. The staff are too nice to ask them to leave.

After taking in the breathtaking and beautiful view of Galway Bay, we spent some time walking along Quay St and taking in the shops and entertainers along the street. We happened upon Tig Coili and decided of all the little pubs and restaurants we'd seen, this one appealed to us the most. We only stopped for a couple of drinks,... More

Fantastic music all the time, expert bartenders, central location (hint to new visitors--go around to the back entrance next to St Nicholas church). Can be crowded and loud, so try to sit near the musicians' corner, near the front windows. But do not sit in their seats!!!

This is a lovely little place to visit on an afternoon for a cold drink. It wasn't too busy and I loved the traditional decor.

I've been to this bar several times over the years, and it never fails to impress me. Top night out in a beautiful city, and a cracking pint o' the black stuff! The staff are always friendly and welcome tourists.

The way a pub should be. One of a handful great pubs in Galway! Authenticity, history, charm, live trad music. And good smooth Guinness of course. Respect!

Great little pub in Galway. Amazing prices (about 5 euro per drink). Gets a little crowded but otherwise fun experience! They have traditional irish music here.

We had a round of Galway Hookers in this pub and the atmosphere and live music was amazing. It was busy, but not crowded, which was lovely.

We had the best time here listening to traditional Irish music. I highly recommend that you find this place in the Latin Quarter.
