We were here for two nights of traditional Irish music. It was absolutely sublime. The beer and service were great, too. This is an authentic Irish pub. It wasn't built for bus load tourism. Space is at a premium. Get there early if you want a good seat.

There was nothing fancy about this location, other reviewers were correct when they said it was small. That's where it ends....because this is the real deal. As we enjoyed this location having a cold Guinness, we were treated to some local talent. They were great. Then some great conversation and Irish hospitality with a lovely professor from the University at... More

We were told that this would be a great location to see live music. We saw the tail end of a set but unfortunately the next set wasn't for another couple hours. The bar is extremely small & nothing too remarkable to hang out in. Maybe if we went at a different time but unfortunately it wasn't anything special while... More

In my opinion one of the best Irish pubs in Galway to listen to traditional music. The musicians are very talented and make you feel welcome. The pub itself is very nicely decorated. Live music from 8:30.

Some locals took us here; wow, musicians playing, great scene. We even met and talked to Des O'Halloran; local legend. I only wish i could pronounce the name of this place

When we asked our Hotel where a good place to get Guiness was, he pointed us to this bar. It was great since it was only 3 blocks away from our hotel. We went there early so we could get a good seat for the live music. It was already packed an hour before the music was supposed to start.... More

This is THE spot for authentic irish music. Small place that is usually full. Get a seat near the front.

A friend and I were traveling through Ireland; spent a couple of nights in Galway. Read in a guidebook about Tig' Coili' and arrived in time to grab a drink and find a tiny seat by the entrance, not knowing we were going to be seated right next to the band! The music was fantastic and really helped seal our... More

Being visiting Coilis from it opened whenever I'm around galway city. Lovely bar. Great music. Friendly staff. Nice to sit in or sit outside on a sunny day and watch the world go by.
