I visited here with my boyfriend last weekend and we had such a great time! The leisure centre has open swims on weekends which is great fun! There are also some lovely restaurants dotted around and some nice ice cream kiosks. Would definitely recommend the...More

The Prom as the locals say, is a picturesque walk along the shores of Galway people, frequented by walkers and runners. It can be a bit windy so a headband or hood is recommended for hair management

I remember when the promenade was fairly new. They have expanded it and added some extra walking paths. I love going for a daily walk for several miles past the Aquarium up past the golf club.

The sun was shining and the weather was warm in May...Strolled along with the sun-glint on the water, rocks and shells nearby. Entered the beach down a ramp and just stayed there for a while, beachcombing and writing. Loved it.

Love Salthill, great views oh Galway bay and loads of places to sit and relax. Great beaches too. There is also a nice outdoor coffee shop half way down the prom

Walked along on a pretty evening. Seems popular with both tourists and locals out for exercise or an after-dinner stroll.

There are amusement areas some by the sea but not on the prom, there was a little road train that took families around the seafront.
