I went on this walk with a friend who knows Galway city, and it was a magical mystery tour for me. We both enjoy spotting different species of bird, and there was plenty to choose from. For a relatively small city, Galway has more than a fair share of kilometres of enjoyable and clean walking paths. Highly recommend, and IT'S FREE!!!

Riverside Walk is located in Galway, the most important city in Western Ireland. It is a nice walk following the River Corrib. A beautiful place outside the center, where you can walk, relax and see some interesting places in the city. From the Cathedral to the Docks.

Sunny day in Galway .... this is just the trick! Stroll along the river and enjoy access to the various cafes and artistic shops nearby. Also some good pubs within easy reach.

Peaceful respite only blocks from tourists! What a lovely walk adjacent to the small river predominately populated by locals (and some dogs!). Lovely scenery, few people each time we walked and lovely roiling water from the river. Worth the short walk from all the tourist areas.

It begins at the Wolfe Tone Bridge and ends at the Salmon Weir Bridge. But, it really connects two areas of "attractions," the Spanish Arch/City Museum/Visitor Center area to the South with the Cathedral, to the North.
It is a very pleasant walk, with water on both sides. Very relaxing and scenic.

Nice walk along the river, but, it ended before I wanted it to. It goes for maybe a mile along a trail that sits between the river and a canal. Quite lovely as it is, it just feels like it needs to be longer - I did not want it to end so soon.

Beautiful walk from the harbour to the big cathedral (which is also worth a visit). Lots of lovely bridges, with riverside fencing and hedges covered in wisteria and morning glory. Last bridge before cathedral is under heavy construction right now, but path is still well marked and diverted to safe walkway.

Beautiful walk.
A walk with plenty to see.Interesing architecture all along the river/canals.
A walk that would change depending on the weather!
Some people are very lucky to have a riverside house, simply stunning.
Plenty of places to exit/access walk.
If in Galway an absolute must.

Well the riverside walk is very nice. The view is fantastic of Galway bay and the surrounding areas. It's lovely to hear the sound of the waterfall flowing. The place is clean and it's just a few minutes walk from the city centre.

This is a lovely walk, spotlessly clean. The Corrib was in full flow. Beautiful sea birds and swans.
