Fresh air, beautiful sights, and lots of fun are just some of the reasons we’ve continued to choose Riverside Walk as our Galway headquarters – just look at this view!

Beautiful tranquil walk

Beautiful walk.
A walk with plenty to see.Interesing architecture all along the river/canals.
A walk that would change depending on the weather!
Some people are very lucky to have a riverside house, simply stunning.
Plenty of places to exit/access walk.
If in Galway an absolute must.

If you miss this you've missed a fabulous part of the Galway experience

What more can I say? Local history, lovely people, shops, water, gorgeous buildings, cafes, pubs, wildlife, the prettiest walk of the day ( for me). I've overused the word enchanting but that's what I felt. I can't wait to come again.

Experience the culture along the river
Sep 2019
We LOVE to walk along this path through Galway. It's a free opportunity! I suggest exploring the alleys and open markets on certain days. Be sure to have an umbrella and shoes which will keep your feet dry, as the weather can be uncertain. However, this is certainly worth the stroll in sun or rain. Stop at Monroe's Pub for a quick bite or a pint, then continue on to St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Spanish Arch, or continue on for a much longer walk to Salt Hill area of Galway.

This is a lovely walk, spotlessly clean. The Corrib was in full flow. Beautiful sea birds and swans.

Sunny day in Galway .... this is just the trick! Stroll along the river and enjoy access to the various cafes and artistic shops nearby. Also some good pubs within easy reach.

Walk alongside the river
Jan 2020 • Family
We used this route to get from the Spanish arch to the Cathedral as a short cut, we were pleasantly surprised, it was lovely to walk beside the river, sit down, relax for awhile.

Enjoyed walking along the river, and seeing new and old buildings, interesting landscapes, and of course, the river.

My husband and I travelled by the Riverside Walk with our Gate 1 tour group.
This is a nice place to stroll in Galway city and you will spot numerous fisherman in the streams.
There are some very good pubs and restaurants along this walk.

Beautiful way to enjoy the City
Oct 2019
Away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city is the Riverside Walk. It brings walkers past St. Pat's Cathedral, along the water, past a few pubs, and through a few alleyways. On certain days of the week there are craft and food vendors along the path. It's a great way to take in the local culture.
