Until you'vebeen to galway during race week you haven't really had the whole experiance. It's a real celebration of racing at it's finest and all of the fun and finery that comes with it. Don'tleave it until the last minute to travel out to the race course as traffic can be crazy with tail backs.

We went to the track on Monday night which was family night. Less crowded from what I was told. It's different than a horse track in the United States so worth your time if you like horse racing. Betting is slightly different and cash is a must just like in the states.

We had a fantastic day at the Galway Races last week. We went on Friday evening which is less busy than the Thursday (ladies day!) I thoroughly recommend this for a day out.

Busy spot! Good entertainment put on and well organised buses back into Glaway City. Guinness tent was best!

Ten of us went to the races, we had a great time but we were not lucky enough to win. We paid 15 Euro for seats in the stand so we were inside when the rain came down. We had a great time.

For a horse lover it was great to be where the action was going on, to be so close to the horses you see on tv, all the jockies, to be able to way up the horses close up , pick the one you like and put small bet on for fun/be part of the action. just a wonderful trill.... More

The famous Galway Races which has its week long summer festival starting on the last Monday in July each year is a very enjoyable event for both the serious and fun race goer. As a bonus the fun continues each evening after racing in the Galway City Centre. If you are in Ireland at end of July or beginning of... More

All the excitement of a race day, with a real warm and welcoming West-of-Ireland feel. Great view, a real buzz around every race, a great day out.
