    Nice bar, great atmosphere.
Nice old style bar, good atmosphere with live music on the night , busy but not packed but I guess this was normal for a weeknight. Service at the bar was friendly and quick. Good selection of beers on tap .

Fun place for some drinks and music
Our airbnb host recommended this place and we're glad we went. Very interesting interior with lots of stuff to look at. Some comfortable seating if you get there in time and close to the music so we could enjoy both the drinks and the music in comfort. I'd be a regular if I lived in the area.

    Magical pub
What an amazing treasure this pub is It’s like stepping back in time as you look around all the artifact’s. It’s obviously been a labour of love collecting all the memorabilia You could spend hours looking at all that’s to be seen . And the lovely blazing fire making it so cozy

    Great Craic and Magical Atmosphere
O'Connor's Pub is one of the best pubs we visited (out of quite a few) in Ireland. But its popular and very busy. So be sure to get there when they open if you want a table/seat! We found craic here! The music was authentic, traditional and so well done! We fell in love with singer/bodhran player, Joyce Riordan and guitarist, Steve..! The atmosphere is magical - tranporting to a time gone by.

This pub was absolutely hopping when we arrived. In fairness the doorman told us it was busy and seating was scarce but people left just as we arrived which was fortuitous. Great atmosphere, everyone chilled and happy to be socialising again.

The decor is eclectic, old singer sewing machines, farm implements nailed to the ceiling, laundry hanging over an open fire. Everywhere you look something different catches your eye. Unfortunately everything looks in dire need of a good dusting.

Had a few cocktails, which were excellent, and enjoyed the live music.

0 stars! Watered down drink right in front of me! I ordered a double whisky of Glenmorangie I saw on the shelf, while I was standing there, the young bartender called to the owner for another bottle because he didn’t have enough and the customer (me) ordered a double. But there wasn’t any more. The owner turned his back to the bar and soon after I received “a double” that was watered down. Maybe because I am American, and they thought I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference? But for over €16, this is LESS than one star. Such a poor taste and impression for “authentic” Irish pubs.

I totally get it – people have the right to speak their minds on review sites, and we respect that. But the problem is, sometimes false information spreads like wildfire, and it doesn't just affect us; it impacts everyone involved. You should know that we've been in this business for three generations, since way back in 1942. We've faced all sorts of challenges and appreciate feedback, even the negative kind. It helps us improve and grow. But there's a big difference between honest criticism and outright lies. I feel like I owe it to my family's legacy – both those who came before and those who will carry it forward – to address this accusation head-on. It's not fair to question the integrity and trust we've built over the years with baseless accusations. "the young bartender called to the owner for another bottle because he didn’t have enough and the customer (me) ordered a double. But there wasn’t anymore." Yes, he did call me and ask me if we had anymore and I said no. However, I did specifically instruct him to pour whatever was left in the bottle and, in the event it didn't fill up a full shot, to charge you only for a single measure. There were two full shots poured, which I watched and confirmed. At no stage do I touch your drink or the bottle it is poured from. So, to provide total clarity on what really happened during your visit, I've decided to share the CCTV footage directly on our website: oconnorsbar dot com. (button called cctv 12/7/23 password 123) Now, before you worry about privacy, let me assure you that I will blur out all faces in the video – yours and everyone else's – to protect everyone's privacy rights. This way, you can still see for yourself what truly happened without compromising anyone's confidentiality. I hope this approach clears things up and helps resolve any doubts. My aim is to be transparent while being respectful of everyone's rights. Karma is trusting that our actions, whether good or bad, will eventually bring corresponding consequences into our lives. Regards Tom

Old style pub ...... lots of quirky decorations, sawdust on the floor.

Friendly staff .... one of them was the owner's son.

It was a rainy Monday night in November, so no music or craic, but I bet this place is lively in summer !

We probably didn't visit on the best night we there was a 21st birthday on and that was taking up a huge section so there wasn't a lot of room for other customers. We did get a seat but you have to be willing to share tables. The atmosphere was good and so was the music. We would go again.

Fantastic beef stew. We were on a tour with 30+ people and this was the best meal the trip. Terrific service.

Getting off the bus, we were greeted by the sweetest little boy waving out the upstairs window. When we found out he was part of a group of 36 Ukrainian refugees that the owners were housing, we were even more impressed.

It was interesting place with live music. We went there with group of people on Friday night.
They have decent variety of beers, including god IPAs, but little overpriced - we payed like 6 €/pint of some AIPA.

But I must say even it was dark there I noticed this place is dirty and all cover with old dust.
I understand the "old style decoration" and its unique style, but for God's sake we, the customers, breathe with all that dust!
If you decide to hang million of pots and other things on your walls and the ceiling - keep it clean! It was in my opinion disgusting, since they also serve food there! If they cant keep the pub area clean, how can I believe that the kitchen where meals are prepared are spotless?
So I know I will never eat there and I will definitely not advise it to anyone.
