    Top experience
Very typical and delicious Pub. The atmosphere on Sunday night was fantastic with live music show going on. The musical choice is very accurate. Regarding the decoration, nothing to say, the retro Guinness frames and the wooden structure is top. Nothing to say about food, it was flavoursome. Will definitely come back!

    Simple the best
Absolutely a brilliant pub right on the Liffey by halfpenny bridge. Wonderful food with great choice, music live artist knows how to get a crowd going. Every time we are in Dublin it’s a must go to.

    Fabulous night!
This lovely Pub/Restaurant is right at Ha’ Penny Bridge. We were there on a Thursday night. I could hear the music outside and it drew us in at 6:00pm — we left at 10:00pm! My husband and I had a fabulous time! We had a high table in the bar, close to the singer. He was great; sang a mix of American and Irish music — the kind that gets everyone singing and clapping and dancing. And lots of people shared the fun; we met lovely people from Norway and from Spain. Just the experience we were looking for! The food was also very good. My husband had the chowder and I had Cottage pie. Delicious. When it got busy, the wait staff was a bit slow coming to reorder drinks. Which was a good thing! LOL I highly recommend!!

    Favourite bar in Dublin
Had a Sunday evening here. Firstly this building is beautiful the architecture is grand and must of held some significance in the past. The spiral staircase to the restaurant is beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed the live music from 8-11pm. There is an upper floor which gives a good view of the music. The drinks are pricy but being so close to temple bar you have to expect it. The service was excellent from the staff.

Must try Pub in Dublin City Center!
My friends and I had a great experience in our recent visit here. The baileys coffee is explicit and a must try. The music was lovely and we had fun. One of the staff working there—Brian was kind enough to give us a quick tour of the place and showed us the one of the best seats in Dublin overlooking the Ha’penny Bridge. He also shared some fun facts about the establishment which made us become more fascinated with the Pub. It is a must try Pub in Dublin City Center.

Dinner at The Merchants Arch Dublin
A very relaxed evening, great fun, music, crowded but not overwhelming, got a table after a small wait on the weekend. Fantastic ambiance, foot tapping music, cold brews and hearty bar food, with some good Irish options. A relaxed and enjoyable evening.

In 2 weeks in Ireland we ate excellent chowder soup almost every dinner. We also ordered it at this pub restaurant despite being the most expensive chowder of the whole trip. A thick, just warm mush has arrived, with a horrible taste, practically inedible that we only ate a spoonful. Got fish & chips, good fries, poor quality cod. Finally the stew presented with only 3 small pieces of meat the rest not good taste vegetables. In conclusion the worst dinner in all Ireland. The place is nice, if you really want to go there, just drink a beer and run away. Hight prices.

Great location and service, live music and large venue with a separate area for food.
What was so disappointing was the Irish Stew. It was so bland, I poured salt with every mouthful and left most of it after picking out the lamb, only because it was €23, expensive for something so tasteless.

This was our absolute favourite bar in Dublin, we visited more than any other food and drink establishment. The all day live music is brilliant, we were in there during the day when it was gentle Irish music and also at a nighttime when it got livelier and there was dancing! The food is lovely, and not too expensive. The staff were helpful and friendly, which was one of the reasons we kept returning. Thanks to Frank who made sure we were well looked after! We will definitely be returning!

We went out for a meal early. There was live music which was great. The beer was great. The service was very good. Except it is quite clear as with a lot of pubs in Ireland now they have inexperienced staff.

When you order a starter and a main course you don’t generally expect them all to arrive at the same time this meant the mains had to go back and then they came out of course they were not as good as they could’ve been.

Attention to detail that’s the important thing

We were in a date with my girlfriend, and the waitress tired to take the order, really quick, we couldn't see the menu even 2 mnts. After eating she brought the bill, and just wanted us to leave. We asked her if she wanted us to leave (the place was empty), she told us that yes, because we had already eaten. 50 euros, 45 mnts. Really bad.
