Our guide, Rory, had an excellent knowledge of the 1916 rebellion, Irish history in general and Irish literature (added bonus from some of my questions). But reading other reviews, it looks like this tour is very selective in hiring guides, so I don't think that you can go wrong in selecting this company. The more you know about the rebellion... we found ourselves in the city earlier then expected, so pop to along and see if we could join, so glad we did. the guide was pleasant and friendly, and definitely knew his stuff. not too much walking, and over 2 hours of history on this pivotal moment in Irish history

As someone interested in Irish History, it's impossible to underestimate the importance of the 1916 Easter Uprising to the Republic of Ireland. The 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour is a great introduction to the issues that led to the rebellion, the places in Dublin that were crucial to it, and the longer lasting effects of this singular event. The Tour takes... More

Thank you so much for the tour. It opened up Dublin for me in a fascinating way. Please pass my thanks on to your lovely guide Owen who painted a great picture.

The tour was expertly given with an incredible amount of information about the 1916 rebellion. The guide introduced the tour as having something for people with all levels of knowledge. He did a great job introducing the topic, then providing great depth. I wouldn't recommend it for children (2.5 hours and heavy on political details) but if you like history,... More

Liam, our tour guide, was fabulous as he painted a picture of the history and took us through the streets of Dublin. We knew a lot about the Rising but this made it all come alive for us. His enthusiasm for the subject and ability to add relevant stories about the people involved made the 90 minute tour fly by.... More

My husband and I, along with a cousin and friend had the great privilege of taking this tour on Friday, July 8, 2016. Lorcan Collins was our guide and he was phenomenal in every way. He exudes passion for every aspect of The Rising . In addition he has a resonant voice that all in our good-sized group could hear,... More

The 1916 Walking Tour was fascinating and most worthwhile. It took us to see places we might never have found on our own and we heard detailed information about the events of the Rising. Our guide was an expert and most willing to answer any and all our questions. I am so glad that I took the tour because reading... More

Brilliant tour - Lorcan should not be missed . Faultless knowledge and passion of the rebellion and before. The background is set with a 20min chat before setting off. We were in a large group and his voice was amazing, everyone could hear no problem - Thank you Lorcan

Our guide was Lorcan Collins, historian, author and raconteur par excellence. He interacted with the group with tact, courtesy, and good humour. His knowledge is extensive, and his opinions patriotic. This tour is easily worth the 13 euros charged.
