    Pint with the stags
Popped in for a pint after playing pool up the road. Fantastic pint and as with previous reviews I can confirm that it is a very well oiled machine with Guinness quickly being poured and left to stand by a very efficient and friendly Barman who bangs em out. Mixture of locals and tourists and so defo should be visited. Great vibe in the area as well 👍

    Nice Classic Pub
We were walking around the city on a Sunday afternoon and wanted something to eat. Grogans has good Guinness and one food option—a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with tomatoes and onions. It’s perfect. No need to think about menu choices, no loud music, and eclectic artwork—the good kind. We found it by chance but highly recommend Grogans.

    Authentic Irish Pub
A guiness in Grogans is always high on our list when visiting Dublin. An old fashioned pub run efficiently by nice bar staff. A mixture of tourists and locals, sitting on old chairs surrounded by a mix of art on the walls which can be bought. As for food, you can have a toastie - cheese, ham, onion, tomato - whatever combination you want. Nothing fancy but if it’s not broken, don’t fix it and this seems to work well. It’s not cheap but nowhere in Dublin is cheap. It’s certainly cheaper than Temple Bar and the location is great.

Grogans was once a great pub to enjoy a pint, however owners have followed the >€6 price point gravy train for a drink brewed 2.5km away. It’s over priced , ye it has charm and is traditional bla bla bla, at over €6 per pint there are much better pubs within a 1km radius that offers so much more. Just to throw it in my wife’s half pint of Coor was €4.70 WTF!!!!

The place looks really rough when you first go in - and very busy. Probably nothing wrong with it at all, but we didn't feel like it was an inviting place to be. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind busy pubs or ones which are for locals... it just felt very... unfriendly. It was recommended by a market stall owner (who took us there - lovely lady). We had a pint and moved on.

We LOVED Grogans! Everything about it was great: the drinks, our servers Sara and Sara, the grilled sandwiches and our friendly bar neighbors. There were five of us, and as soon as we walked in a local kindly moved over so we could sit at the bar. Our daughter, son and his fiance are aged 19 to 24, and they had fun people to meet. My husband and I had great people to visit with. It really did set a standard that no place else could equal. GET AN IRISH COFFEE, it will be the best you've ever had.

Wanted a traditional Irish pub for a Guinness, this was ideal and a real delight. The place had a steady lunchtime stream of customers and a great selection of beers to be found in Ireland. Guinness was the best I have tasted

Rude staff. I went here on a Thursday night. We seen that the doors were open and they had a good few customers. We asked if they were still serving since a few moments before someone had received their pint and others we sitting drinking full pints. They said yes we are and then laughed on our faces saying they weren’t. The chatter behind the bar was them laughing and saying that was mean to the man who had said it. They never followed up to say whether they were actually open or not but just laughed until we walked out. I have worked and still work in hospitality and never have I seen or heard staff speak to a customer like that. Kudos to all staff behind the bar who had a great giggle.

A little jewel right in the city centre. Small and no tv or recorded music, it’s perfect for a chat and a pint. They also serve toasties; simple, hot and yummy dripping with Irish cheese. We whiled away a couple of hours. The only accents we heard in our time there were Irish. Highly recommended.

Always drop in for a pint and toastie when in Dublin. Grogans is a cosy old spot, no musak or TV, perfect for a chat and plenty of art on the walls to catch the eye. Real mixed bag of customers, good staff and very convivial atmosphere. Don't change a thing, it's perfect as it is!

Second time going to this pub first experience wasn’t great ! Don’t go here if you want to have fun , they are the rudest staff I’ve ever seen they are definitely in the wrong job .. no smiles no craic no singing no music no thanks … I asked for a straw a couple of times and the bar man actually threw it across the bar at me ! As for the toilets .. let’s just say I would not eat here if you saw the state of them .. and the smell that greets you on the way in ! Authentic Irish bar is definitely something I would not call it ! Much nicer and more pleasant bars scattered around the city .
