We went to The Confession box with a group of friends. The live music was great and made the evening complete.

What a cracking wee pub where you are welcomed as a regular. Friendly bar staff who will serve you in seconds and it's worth the little wait there is for an outstanding pint.

No music,no food just pure Irish hospitality awaits you at this the second oldest pub in Dublin. A small bar with separate upstairs area and bathroom downstairs ensures just a small number of people can generate quite an atmosphere.

I decided to visit here last Easter. In part due to the amazing 5 star TripAdvisor sign outside the door. To my astonishment the bar woman, matching the same description as the other 1 star review, told me that they weren't serving anymore. Even though...More

This is a great pub - has it all - great guinness, great craic and amazing atmosphere - only thing it is lacking is space but if you want space, there's the Phoenix Park around the corner!

Love this place. Often go here for beers after work. A mix of locals and tourists. A great pint! Can get cosy as not that big but sure that’s part of the charm.

Great music in the evening, great bartenders (a very welcoming, friendly and funny couple who own the place), and well poured drinks. We loved our evening stop here!

Had the pleasure of frequenting the Confession Box with friends over a couple of days in Dublin. The craic was brilliant, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and the best pints of Guinness I’ve ever tasted, at a very reasonably priced €5, which is unusually cheap for...More

Recommend as probably the smallest pub in Dublin, with the best pint of Guinness, was absolutely packed out and we just loved it. There was every type of person in there, couples, business people, pensioners, youngsters, just a loud melting pot of ideas!!!!
