We were recommended to try by a friend and I’m glad we crossed the river to try! The barmaids were nice and we sat upstairs and enjoyed the perfect Guinness. We sat upstairs and the whole pub had a great atmosphere. It’s obviously a local pub with regulars who are all very friendly, as are all the staff. The prices are good too and the Guinness tasted great. We would definitely return and recommend.Visited February 2023Written March 17, 2023

Staff were absolutely fantastic (sorry ladies, we should have asked for your names). A real gem of a pub, full of history and a great authentic atmosphere. We visited on a recommendation and so glad we did. Will be our first port of call when we are next in Dublin again. Thank you.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 23, 2023

We visited here twice during our holiday. The first time at the end of November, the second at the beginning of December. I had found this online, so we decided to check it out. There was a pretty small area around the bar, with more tables upstairs. We sat up on really tall stools by the bar. Locals came in to visit. Needless to say , we had a lot of fun! Paul got to pour his own pint of Guiness, and was awarded a certificate. He also bought a souvenir tshirt. Nibbles aka snacks were available for purchase. Would love to go back!

Best value in Dublin centre. Tiny pub with a big heart. Very friendly landlady and chap who referred to himself as the hired help ha ha. Best kept ales we tasted, friendly locals and very reasonably priced. Quirky building , definitely worth seeking out

Reviews looked great. Walked in and its basically a box room with everyone watching horse racing. Nobody says a word! Bartender is a miserable f****r. Carry on walking. Some absolute brilliant pubs right round the corner... Brannigan's for one.

We visited here as we heard so much about it & that it was soo small - which it is.
We had one drink & unfortunately we werent there for the music.
Nice bar worth a visit while in Dublin just unfortunately the bar man was very grumpy to everyone.

Popped in here for a quick pint before heading back to our hotel.
But this is Dublin! Got chatting to the staff and settled. Then local (Pete? Lad who spent time in Sheffield & is 60 in September) and that was it we were in for the long haul.
This is what pubs are about, chatting to total strangers & putting the world to right.
We stayed so long we missed food but it didn’t matter - the place is great.

I'm an occasional visitor to Dublin and always like going to the confession box for a pint.
To my astonishment as I went in today July 8th at 21.15pm the bar lady went out the front door and called me out. She said you have had too much to drink and I'm not serving you.
I protested that I've had 3 pints since 6pm.
She didn't care and went back in.
Bar owner, you need to have a word with her. Women in her late 50's with long black hair.
Anyway I went a small walk to a pub that I've never been to Brannigans and got a warm welcome. I'm there now writing this review. They don't think I've had enough!!

It’s very hidden as there’s a lot of scaffolding covering it which is a shame because it’s a lovely little pub.
It’s near the spire and just off a very busy shopping street. You’ll get a few looks in there from the locals, once they hear you’re not Irish but they’re harmless. There’s a small sitting area upstairs and toilets downstairs.
When we arrived a singer was setting up, in amazing he could fit especially with how busy the pub was, but he did!!
It’s a very good atmosphere, and the locals get friendlier once you’ve had a few drinks, definitely recommend coming here to experience a traditional Irish pub and to have a PROPER pint of Guinness.
