This was a nice little stop with music and dancing. The food was very good, and we enjoyed sitting with other travelers around the long tables. However, I did feel the show went on a bit long, some of the songs a bit drawn out and I was constantly watching the time to see when we would be leaving. Overall, it is a good taste of Ireland.

Excellent experience! The staff could not have been more helpful and delightful. Even things outside their responsibility they helped with and went above and beyond.
The food was plentiful and very tasty. An option for everyone and the extras like a glass of wine, taste of whiskey and finally an Irish coffee with dessert were very much appreciated. The Irish entertainment was top notch and entertaining. We felt so fortunate to be taken so well cared of and with in positive and professional manner.
Definitely check out their dinner and show.

Met a few friends there for drinks and food sitting outside. Food was delicious…well priced with quick service and nice staff. I’d definitely go back. Great relaxed atmosphere too. Highly recommend.

The dancing portion of the show was great. There should have been more dancing and less singing as the singing was loud and distorted. Food was mediocre at best. Whiskey tasting was included in the price, as well as Irish coffee. Have experienced similar venues that had better entertainment and food.

We came to Dublin in July 2005 for three nights and decided to devote one of the nights to exploring the city's traditional music scene. This was a lot harder than we thought it would be - pubs with informal sessions don't seem to exist in Dublin, probably due to the nighttime crowds which make the acoustic sessions inaudible in the pub. We stayed at the Camden Court hotel near the city centre and the friendly concierge told us about the traditional music show at Taylors Three Rock pub in a village called Rathfarnham about 20 minutes taxi ride south of the city.

This is a large thatched pub with loads of character and very picturesque with loads of flower baskets and low ceilings and slate floors adding to the traditional Inn atmosphere. Intially the price of Euro45 (about $55) was off putting, but not bad value when we considered that the price included a meal (and as it turned out, an excellent 3 course menu - wholesome home cooking, if not haute cuisine).

The entertainment was second to none that we had seen in Ireland during our 12 day trip. The Merry Ploiughboys band were awesome and got a great atmosphere going and really seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. Those guys rocked! There was a terrific 20 minute display of Irish dancing by about 5 local boys and girls.

What I loked most about it was that I was expecting a fairly low key evening of traditional music. However what we got was a packed two hour program of songs, ballads, music, dance, humour and Dublin wit. it felt very authentic, even though there were a lot of tourists there.

It's a pity they don't include a few drinks in the price as Dublin is dearer than the rest of Ireland for drinks. However, Joey, my touring buddy, didn't hold back from some top-shelf vintage whiskey which cost him almost $10 a shot!

Highly recommended to anyone visiting Dublin - the pub website is --------

Two hours of my life I will never get back. This was over-priced. The food was not good, and the acts were not good. They took too long getting the courses out, and the show dragged on. The comedian was not funny, and his act went on about 20 minutes (which was 20 minutes too long). It seemed like almost all of it, except of course the dancing, was on a pre-recorded track. We were in a tour group and they sat far too many of us at the table. There was no room to move. I could not wait for it to be over.

Hi Erin, Thanks for your comments, I’m sorry to hear that the show was not to your taste. Our show is comprised of world class dancers who have won numerous Irish dancing titles. We do pre-record a backing track for the singers and dancers as with most shows it’s not viable to have an entire orchestra on hand, however I can assure you the singing and the musician playing the uilleann pipes are always live We hope you enjoyed the rest of your tour. Kind regards, Sarah

I have been to many large group evening venues, so I knew what to expect overall. However, it was a long and painful evening. The food was mediocre, with the lamb stew quite up flavorful, and even the cheesecake with no taste. However, the worst part of the evening was the very poor quality of the music. I did enjoy the dancers, but the music played that night was awful. The lead singer had an awful voice and the sound system was very poor. We should have gone to some of the local pubs. Not worth the money.

I was with Charles Wendt and others and his review was too nice. the management was very rude. VERY RUDE! When I commented on how Charles and his brother were treated I was told it was none of my F/N business by the manager because he did not directly insult me. I offered that he should come to S. Louisiana to learn hospitality. Businesses like Taylors three rock would fail in no time here in the south because no one would put up with being treated like that

Taylors is actually a little bit outside of Dublin in the hills, takes about 20 mins to get there. I believe there are a lot of tour companies that put on buses for this. We went on our own as we were bringing some American friends.

You are supposed to be there for about 6:30 but we were very late, the staff were great though and really made us feel comfortable. There are 3 choices for starters and main. I had the soup and the chicken wrapped in bacon which were both great, filling and the portion sizes were big, apple pie and Irish coffee were also included in the price.

The area we were in was a big function room with a stage at the front with a bar near the door, the tables were set up banqueting style in long rows. The price of the meal & entertainment was €45 and then the drinks on top of that. The bar man was very generous with my wine and just topped up the glass (no measuring it)

The show started about 8 with some Irish dancing and then a band came on to play the typical familiar Irish tunes with some original ones of their own (you can buy their CD after, get them to sign it too) There was a break and then there was more Irish dancing and more of the band. It took a bit of time for the place to warm up and I think that was more to do with the crowd there as they seemed a bit quiet, in fairness to the band they were trying to get some interaction from the crowd. As everyone warmed up the atmosphere got better and there was even some interaction with the locals that had popped in & sat at the bar. The Americans loved it as this was their first time in Ireland and they got to see some great Irish dancing

We went in November and when we were chatting to the barman he said that during the summer season they use the bigger upstairs room and have singers and a comedian as well as the band and dancers. So maybe that’s a better time to go

After the show finished around 10 sh the buses then gathered everyone up to take back. We stayed on and went into the main bar, there was a guy playing a guitar and a couple of singers singing old & new tunes which was good, plus we were able to chat to some locals which was great & the Americans loved it

Overall I really enjoyed the night and was pleasantly surprised as we were only going because of our US friends and I was expecting a really tacky Irish thing, which it definitely wasn’t. So if you’re a tourist and want to experience some Irish culture then I would say to definitely go
