More
About Dublin Literary Pub Crawl
The pub, the poet and the pint. In Dublin, they seem to be inseparable. The public house is where writers sharpened their wit. This two hour walking tour is led by a team of professional actors who follow in the footsteps of James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde, Brendan Behan and many others. You will hear renditions of prose, verse, drama and song from Dublin's literary hall of fame. The evening is packed with entertainment and also includes a quiz with prizes for the winners. As one critic wrote: 'A highly enjoyable evening that gives you the pleasant notion of replacing brain cells as you drown them'. Check our website for further details and to book online.

Very enjoyable and entertaining evening. Just recommended it to some friends a day ago. Loved the quiz at the end—-I actually won 2nd place. Learned some things, laughed a lot and got to see 4 different pubs in Dublin

It was entertaining but not what we expected. After the first talk in a pub, the next two talks were outside interspersed with 20 minute pub stops, hardly enough to get a drink much less a snack. The talks were strong on theatrics and weak...More

Coming from Australia the idea of a 'literary' pub crawl doesn't make a lot of sense but in Ireland it certainly seems to - and our 2 guides were certainly able to bring that to life. I am no expert on literature - aside from...More

Thanks for your review. We don't allow drunks to take over the tour from outside or in. Rest assured - if you join this tour you will not be in the company of anyone who is 'over the line', as Davy Byrne put it. We...More

I did this tour alone and I had a blast. The actors were very charming and handled a few drunkards(both in the group and out of the group) very well. Brilliant acting and lots of laughs. Really recommend this for any lover of poetry, prose...More

The two actors were fabulous. It was a fun way to learn about Ireland’s famous writers. Not a typical pub crawl.

This was really fun. 2 Dublin actors performed scenes from Samuel Beckett, Brendan Behane, and James Joyce as well as poetry and stories from a few contemporary writers, interspersing stories about various Dublin pubs (The Duke, Davy Byrne’s, and the massive O’Neill’s) and their relationships...More

Hello... the law is 18+ in the pubs but usually it's OK when one youngster is along with a parent. We've never had a problem so far. COLM
