This tour meets in front of Trinity College. We held up our historical walking tours pamphlet until the guide came over to us, because we had no idea what he or she looked like. Our guide, a woman whose name I can't remember, had a doctorate in Irish history and was a fountain of knowledge; I can only remember a... More

This tour was informative but too many in the group. I was told they do not cap the group. Most of the time I could not hear the tour leader.

Apologies to Salome if her tour experience was not up to standard. Ironically we are victims of our own success! But the good news is that we have altered our procedures to ensure that a 2nd guide will be available where larger-than-usual numbers are anticipated. When customers are dissatisfied it is always our policy to issue a refund. So, Salome,... More

We had a wonderful walking tour of Dublin yesterday, which we organized for visiting University students who were having their first trip to Ireland. Donal, our guide, was absolutely superb. He kept the students entertained with interesting anecdotes, while also giving a fantastic condensed history of Ireland as we walked around the city. I would highly recommend this tour to... More

Imagine walking the streets of Dublin with your own private tour guide! What a fantastic time I had With Cathal he was amazing as he has such a passion for his native culture. Winding around the cobble stones one story intertwined another. His lead up to book of kells did point out a few details that I probably would have... More

I've done this tour eight times now, twice on my own and six times with students, with eight different guides and following eight different routes. We've had only one tour that was merely good; the rest were excellent, and a couple were outstanding. The guides know both the city and the history--they're not just reciting a script. So you get... We had a fantastic tour with Donal. He was well versed in Irish and Dublin history. He covered from the time of St. Patrick to the modern era. We were in town on a cruise ship and we covered a lot of ground and learned a great deal. It was one of the better walking tours we have taken. This... More

This tour lasted about four hours and included all the major sights in Dublin along with a historical lesson starting from the Vikings and through the modern troubles. A great way to spend a late morning.

We were delighted to spend a few hours with Rosi. She was engaging, knowledgeable and friendly. She entertained us with many stories that really made the history of Ireland come alive. We were also with our 88-year old father who needed to walk very slowly and she was very considerate of our pace. Nevertheless we felt that we covered all... More

We took this tour on our second day in Dublin and it was an excellent overview of Irish history and a great orientation to Dublin. Our tour guide Grace had a PhD in medieval Irish history and her enthusiasm for her subject came through clearly. She was well versed in all eras of history and presented it at a level... More
