If you love history- this is the one you must do! Our guide Brian was excellent - a historian and graduate of Trinity College. 5 or 6 stops however the highlight was his balanced and detailed knowledge of the development of Dublin and Ireland. This included the relationship with Britain as well as the more recent civil war and Northern... More

We had a great tour with Donal in the summer. He was excellent because his historical knowledge enabled him to put places into context, explaining their political background and cultural significance. The best tour guide I have ever experienced! Congratulations Donal!

I've been doing a lot of walking tours on recent trips. They're a great way to get a feeling for a city in a short amount of time. This particular tour featured Trinity College, the Irish House of Parliament, Temple Bar, City Hall, Dublin Castle, Cork Hill and Christ Church. Our guide, Donal, was extremely knowledgeable and very funny. He... More

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the places we walked by from the Trinity College, the opening and later closing of the first parliament, the Easter Rising, and various other places in the city. Even though he had a lot of information to share (speaking fast) it was easy to follow and his engaging way of talking Arby's... More

An historian from Trinity College gave us 2 plus hours of detailed history about Dublin and the Irish. Great coverage of the area. Our only concern was we thought the Book of Kells was included which it was not. We wished we had a chance to see it at the same time.

My wife and I were visiting Dublin and wanted to take this tour because of the very good reviews it has received on TripAdvisor. We were surprised that the tour was much better than our high expectations. The tour guide, Donal - Irish for Daniel, was really, really good. He included so much Irish history in the tour in such... We started our tour at Trinity with Peter as our guide. Peter , despite the background traffic noise, explained everything very very well with a touch of humour and although I am a regular visitor to Dublin I learned a lot that I didn't know about Irish history. The 2 hour tour ended as a 3 hrs 10 minutes one... More

We usually start our visit to a city with a walking tour. In 2 to 3 hours one gains an understanding of the place and helps plan where we want to go in the following days. In other cities we have found the quality of some of the walking tours to be disappointing. Not so with Historic Walking Tours of... More
