Our family of six had a delightful, informative tour led by Daragh, who was wonderful. He imparted his wealth of knowledge of Irish history in a way that kept all of us interested and entertained. We all agreed that the tour was a highlight of our stay in Dublin.

Owen (but I know I have the spelling wrong)- was incredibly knowledgeable and presented boatloads of history in an engaging and clear fashion. We enjoyed the tour immensely and learned so much. It really put so much of what we were seeing in context. Highly recommend

We spent a little over 2 hours today learning about the complicated history of Ireland. Our guide was Daragh and he was the best tour guide I have ever had and I have taken many historical walking tours. The number of names and dates he had in his head was astounding. It was not only the amount of Irish history he knew but the way he organized it was very engaging. He definitely has a teacher's mind set yet I did not feel like I was in a classroom. He was also witty. Daragh also made sure he stopped to see if there were questions along the way. There were 4 in our group and we all agreed he was amazing. Thank you, Daragh, for teaching us so much about the history of your beautiful country.

Outstanding tour with Sylvie. She led a historical tour of Dublin for a group of students with very little knowledge of the city. I appreciate her pitching at the "beginners" level and adding in so many fun facts about Irish history. A great way to start our study abroad program in Ireland.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour led by Darragh. He was informative, enthusiastic and entertaining, with a comprehensive knowledge of the history of Dublin. He clearly has a love of the subject and that really shone through.
As Dublin residents ourselves, we found out lots of things that we weren't aware of. My favourite were the anecdotes about Daniel O Connell which were very amusing.
Overall a well spent morning and we would certainly recommend the tour to locals and visitors alike.

Our guide has a Phd in history, studied at Trinity. She gave us a very exciting walking tour, pointing out along the way places you may not even notice on your own. It was like taking a college course from an amazing professor. She was so animated and kept our interest throughout the two hours which passed way too quickly.

Loved our guide - so much knowledge of the city, community & people. You will cover a lot of ground. Wear comfortable shoes & warm clothing if it’s winter.
We had just finished another wonderful tour (fast track Book of Kells & Dublin Castle) & walked over at 3:00 to meet up w/our walking tour. This tour was convenient & easy to locate at Crown Alley. He answered all our questions & is a local.
I think trip advisor had messed up my reservation- they had me on an earlier tour at 1:00, but my confirmation said 3:00 & he said ‘No problem, come along:)’
Always tip not expected but it’s greatly appreciated!

We did this 2-hour walking tour day 1 to understand Dublin better and plan some of the remaining week. Daragh was terrific and knowledgeable. He did a great job of introducing us to some basics on the city and it's history. My sons were finally picking out some points of interest to explore in Dublin! Thanks 👍

Fabulous overview tour of historical Dublin. We thoroughly enjoyed our extremely knowledgeable guide Donal’s local insights and deep understanding from his own background as a history professor. He clearly loves his city and shared that enthusiasm with all of us. Highly recommend!

This tour was recommended to us from one of the Rick Steves tour guides. She was booked, but she kindly recommended this to her. It did not disappoint. The tour guide was organized, interesting, and very friendly. We only had one touring day in Dublin, and this was a great start to our morning. We started at Trinity College it, and had a great overview of the history of beginning with the Vikings. Each building we stopped at had a moved the entire program along. Highly recommend this tour as a good overview of Dublin.

Hi! Canuou please tell me how many people are on the tour? Do you have tours on September 5? Our hotel recommended a private guide, but we are only 2 people and the fee is steep. Is your tour comparable to a Pat Liddy tour? Thank you.

You go into the yards of Trinity College, Christchurch and Dublin Castle. You will get plenty of information about the history at all three places.

I believe we booked a day in advance, but our guide said he had accepted extra people the day before on the tour; probably depends on the day of the week and the season as to how busy it is.

There are a few walking tours, which should I sign up with?. Do they cater to like certain age group?. I am in my early 50s. Would it be better to do th walking tour on a Sunday or weekday? Thanks AprilMalaysia

So I took the fantastic tour of Dublin with Garvan team Garvan did pub crawl and Cathal did historical tour both were absolutely fantastic haha very passionate about their city and their culture. Cathal was able to intertwine legends and factual events as well as set a stage for viewing the book of Kells and Garvan gave me a taste of Saturday night with the mates. I'm older in my 50s and found them both very accommodating the tours were on the weekend so maybe less working folks about I don't know have fun it's a great city!

Would you recommend arriving early and seeing the Book of Kells before the tour? Does it include a good tour of Dublin Castle including the State Apartments? Thank you for any info. Kristi

Hi, the queue for the Book of Kells can be very long so probably try to time yourself to get there earlyish. The historical tour doesn't deal with the Book. And no, there wasn't any tour of Dublin Castle state apartments. Not sure if it has state apartments. It really isn't much of a "castle" in that sense.
