Awesome Dive Bar!

Ask for bartenders Lou or Kevin. They are fun. Lou arm wrestled my friend, but she lost. God, she’s going to want to kill me for saying that, but she’s way cool.

Me and five guys: good beer, good music, considering it was metal. Fun evening out. I would send any group of guys here, or a couple if you simply want a fun memory.

Gather the music tribe!

The first time I walked into this pub, the DJ was playing Jimmy Cliff "Wonderful world, beautiful people" while in the corner a Rockabilly guy was having a pint with a skinhead girl. I thought "Could this be the pub I've been looking for?" Up to the bar to order drinks......a range of real ales, including some banging IPAs and some decent non-alcoholic beers for the driver- not overpriced!. A second visit to POW city in the subterranean basement for some 60s soul, another visit to Mindfuzz for the freakbeat......Yes this is the place. My favourite Dublin pub, on the edge of the Liberties, it defies the stereotypes. Thankfully no TV, no genesis on the juke box, and and no nonsense. Fantastic beers, and great barstaff, yes its an unpolished diamond- and all the more beautiful for that. Don't change. This place has edge (and I don't mean the lad from U2). (recommend you stay till the money runs out)

Had a blast

Happened to be in the area when The Long Tall Texans were playing a gig and young Taylor Hayes opened for them. Brought back so many memories of better days where bands played in small venues. Was one of the highlights of my trip to Dublin. Bartenders made you want to hang out all night :)

Eclectic and fabulous

Wandered in here after an event in Vicar street and was instantly smitten. The decor, sounds and clientele all eclectic and such a laid-back atmosphere. Craft beers and good selection of whiskey on offer. Last Saturday of each month great dj playing everything from blues, ska, punk, was so refreshing to hear great music and still be able to chat unlike further into town where the decibels of pop burns eardrums after 10.30!

Good place for a beer and some music
Mar 2017 • Friends
Visited with my wife and friends, staff were pretty friendly, good selection of beer, some old rock and roll tunes were playing over the radio. Very ska punk rockabilly feel to the place, eclectic mix of decor. There seems to be a music venue on site also however I did not visit.
