While occupying a relatively flat piece of land on Bull Island, Royal Dublin is a superlative golfing experience. Perfectly maintained and staffed, the course is top notch and presents a stiff challenge from tees that can stretch to 7500 yards for those qualified to play such a test. Great green complexes and a very interesting layout.

Straight forward links course that is very narrow and you can lose your golf balls in the long grass by being a little off. Design is really nothing special. The course is by the sea but the course doesn’t take advantage of the views. Many other better courses in Dublin area.

Played this golf course. It is very long compared to US. They were very nice. I pro gave me a women score card.Tees play 6000 yards. This is different from the mens. It has no slope or rating, We asked for posting purposes and they said there was not one. They have no women members.

The course was in very good condition despite we were here early in the year. The wind punished the one who has difficulty playing the links, but it is incredibly instructive. Here, the big players have been Seve, Langer etc. Enjoy the historic atmosphere, enjoy the magic golf course, enjoy the magical nature. Finally, enjoy a magic beer after the round. You will be well looked after by all staff in the shop, resturang, course staff. They know what service is.

Played Royal Dublin on Aug 24, 2018. Front 9 is short and downwind. Back 9 is long and into the wind. The course is relatively flat compared to other Irish courses. I personally enjoyed the quality of their greens and the green complexes. This would be a great first day course when arriving in Dublin to begin a golf trip. Although a very nice course, it is a little less challenging that other links courses in Ireland. A friendly welcome in the Pro Shop as well.
