We made our reservation through the Little Museum of Dublin and were so fortunate in the volunteer who met us there, Brian Graham. He took us to the famous and grand Merrion Hotel for tea and crumpets, and we found him to be not only delightful company but quite knowledgeable about art, history, and so many other topics. The time... More

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked our 'Meet with a Dubliner' because we'd never seen anything like this offered in other countries we've visited. Talk about the friendliness of the Irish! We ended up spending a delightful couple of hours with Joe Landy who gave us tips on Dublin and suggestions for our road trip to Western... More

I highly recommend this wonderful introduction to Dublin. I was under the impression that this service would be just a quick nice welcome from a local. I was taken aback by the amazing quality and at-ease of this wonderful meetup. When we arrived at the Little Museum to meet our ambassador, we were a bit early so we had a... More

A big "Thank you!" to our patient ambassador for an hour of nice talk, useful tips and interesting information. City of a Thousand Welcomes is a one of a kind opportunity to learn more about the city and its people at first hand. It really made our days in Dublin a special experience. If only more cities would offer such... More

I participated in the "Meet a Dubliner" program offered through the "Little Museum of Dublin" on 08/28/2016. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the Dubliner was a man around my age! (I was in Ireland celebrating my 30th birthday). Our Dubliner, Ruari, was absolutely wonderful. We chose to go for a pint, because … duh, we're in Ireland.... More

I have been trying desperately to register for this activity but something is wrong with the website. It doesn't let you pick a date and time and only shows a couple of crossed out appointments. There is no email to contact anyone.

My 16 yr. old daughter and I cisited Dublin for one day only. We took a free tour in the morning (southside with James, recommended) had a pub lunch (sorry, not everyone likes Guiness) and finished with a 3:00 meeting at the little museum of dublin with an "ambassador" from this program. We met Brian, chatted a few minutes there... More

This is a a little known, hidden gem offered by the Dublin Tourist Bureau. Sign up online indicating your interests and other demographics and you'll be paired with a Dublin host. We were met by our dapper host at The Little Museum. He took us to the very chi-chi Merrion Hotel for tea.(Your host might opt to take you to... More
