Having visited many countries and done tours in almost all of them, and I can comfortably say this is one of the best ones I've ever done. It was clear that Ciaran really enjoyed what he was doing. In classic Dublin fashion, the weather was not the mildest but he managed to keep everyone engaged and in good spirits, kept the tour entertaining and informative without being repetitive. I learned a lot about the history and culture of this beautiful city and I will for sure recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin.

Free walking tour
We booked the free walking tour online. We have completed walking tours worldwide and this was one of the best. Ciarón being a native Dubliner portrayed his city with extensive knowledge , humour and with a real joy for both his homeland and for job!
This is a new venture for Ciarón and no doubt he will make a brilliant success of it ! An educated man ( Trinity graduate) who spoke to those on the tour using their home language making these visitors feel welcome and valued. He gave excellent advice on places to visit, pubs to enjoy a pint of the best stuff in ( also told visitors what price to expect to pay) as well as encouraging visitors to support local traders . A true Dubliner looking out for his fellow traders .
A tour not to be missed !

We had the free walking tour of Dublin with our guide Jack Redmond and I honestly can say that it was probably the best time we’ve had in Dublin. Jack was one of the best tour guides I ever had, very knowledgeable and funny, willing to have conversation and answer to all of our questions. This tour gives you a great insight of Dublin and Irish history in general, I would recommend this being one of the first things to do when you arrive. You can learn how to move in the city and of course get the best recommendations for pubs, food and things to do. Jack even shared with us his website in which he has many posts about everything you need to know travelling Ireland.Thank you Jack again for the best tour and for sharing all your knowledge with us!

Our family of 4 adults took the Dublin City 2 hr walking tour on Sunday 3rd April. We met our guide Kieron by St Stephens green Wolf tone statue. Kieron was absolutely fantastic as a person and as a tour guide. He had tremendous knowledge of Irish history and Irish politics. He showed us around many city tourist sights and a few unlikely points of interest, keeping the whole experience very light hearted interesting and amusing. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Dublin.

For anyone who first arrives in Dublin, i highly recommend the Free Tour by Unearthed Tours.

this tour not only educates on the history of Ireland, Dublin, it also helps orientate new visitors to the places around Dunblin area.

Kiron besides being an engaging guide, is very knowledgeable and willing to share information about this city, especially how to see Dublin from a local's point of view.

Don't miss it! if there's one tour, do the Free Tour and then the Dark Tour!

Great walking tour (free) of Dublin! At just 2.5 hrs it's a solid overview of the history and culture of the city. James did a great job of blending amusing anecdotes and stories along with the information. Highly recommend to do at the begining of your trip to use as introduction to the city, if we had attended the tour earlier during our stay, definitely would've changed up our itinerary.

Ciarán was an amazing guide, being both very clear and funny. He showed us the city through it's history, always telling anecdotes to make the city more alive. He made me and the group immediately at ease and we felt free to ask any questions. He's definitely passionate about Dublin and history, and a great orator. I'm recommending 100%!

We did the free guided tour and the donated fee at the end was well worth giving. The tour guide had a great personality and made everyone feel welcome, his knowledge was vast and presented to us really well to make it absolutely interesting.
Really recommend this and he made good recommendations for places to visit and eat and drink at. Thankyou for adding to our Dublin experience.

Kieren was incredible - we couldn't believe how much we learned about the history of Ireland in such a short time and he made it so interesting and approachable. We got to see so many great spots around town and as we did, he helped us understand how they related to the history of Ireland and gave us insider tips for enjoying them. Would highly recommend this tour - it was a great way to see the city!

Tara is an incredible guide through Dublin and Irish history being truly 'as Dubliner as you can get' as she says. It was engaging to walk with her through the city streets and listen to her amazing stories about the highlights and heritage of Ireland and Dublin. Her gift for storytelling together with an excellent sense of humour made the tour memorable. She is also open to questions and dialogue, making it all even more meaningful and fun. Tara's tips for further exploring the city and good places to visit such as pubs, restaurants, live music venues and everything else are also priceless. I would highly recommend the tour with Unearthed Tours as it's a great way to start your Dublin and Irish journey or complete the existing image about it. If you happen to lack time to explore the city further, it will also give you just enough insights. Big thanks to Unearthed Tours and Tara.
