We stumbled across the Sinn Fein bookstore and decided to join the Walking Tour. It was a fabulous and educational experience. The tour was supposed to last two hours, but we went for three and it was time well spent.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. It was a very interesting tour focused primarily on 1916-1922. The tour covered a lot of details over a relatively small tour area. We were very glad we did this tour along with visiting Kilmainham Goal (which we did first, and that was probably helpful to getting more out of the tour though... More

We went on this walk with the young guide Liam, he told the story of Rebel Dublin in an educated unbiased way that was interesting and easy to understand. He was always open to discussions about points that are repeating themselves today with whats happening in the 6 counties, for example the break in the Republican Movement after Mick Collins... Liam did an excellent job with our small tour group which gave us plenty of time for one-on-one discussions. A retrospective look at Irish conflict and Republicanism was provided leading up to Rising and Civil War. Liam presented a cohesive account of all the players and events during the most pivotal times in Irish history. It's too bad that some... More

Padraig did a great job in covering the events that took place prior to the 1916 revolt by walking us by houses where many of the organizers engaged in the planning. The walking tour is at a slow pace with no more than a block of walking then a god discussion regrading the republican activities surrounding the area. His knowledge... More

The republican tour with Pat today was an excellent account of the men and women who fought for independence from the British Government in 1916. As a History lecturer in college this is a tour I will certainly advise my students to take to gain the knowledge and understanding of this event in Irish History. This was a very detailed... More

Wow. Fabulous tour by an incredibly knowledgeable and articulate guide-Pat. His in-depth knowledge and detail was fascinating and riveting. He was able to combine the detail with a lively recounting of events. Each step bought us closer to the final confrontation. We thought we knew a bit, but he blew us away. If you want to get a picture of... More
