the kids loved the playground albeit small but vey well kept
the park was kept clean overall and very well utilised, the local community obviously takes care of the park and makes great use of the park

We discovered this small Square on our way from our hotel (the excellent Croke Park) to O'Connell Street. It hasn't got the grandeur of Merrion Square but it offers enjoyment and relaxation for locals and visitors alike.
We stayed right on Mountjoy Square and appreciated looking out at it as well as the playground which was fun for our 6 yo. It's got quite an authentic feel and as an added bonus there are two Pokestops conveniently located for your Pokemon playing...More
The title of my review of this quaint little North city Dublin square, describes exactly what it is. It could also be considered as rather urban and run down, I would prefer to call it cosmopolitan and well lived in!

A run-down Georgian square with a park in the middle, best known as a land mark for reaching Croke Park, otherwise don't waste your time. If you want a view of Georgian buildings in Dublin well Mountjoy Square is not recommended.
