Even though this is a fictional character, the Molly Malone statue is quite an icon in the city of Dublin. It is a bronze statue located near the center, often used as a meeting spot for outgoing bus tours. There's a legend that says that...More

The Molly Malone statue is very interesting and very well done. As others have said, look up her history. Tour buses meet here early in the AM for the day trips. The area around the statue is great for shopping.

Interesting public art. Not quite as good as the Oscar Wilde statue, but worth a quick walk-by. The backstory is worth looking-up.

This is very easy to find and many people suggest going to it. There are usually crowds around the statue. nothing special besides a photo op.

This is one of the must do "tick off" items when touring Dublin. We've all heard the stories of Molly Malone, if you haven't it's an easy google fix, so a photo of this celebrated lady with her wares is great.

Easy to find once I figured out where I was. It’s in a nice area, never felt uncomfortable there. Lots of places to eat and shop across the street.
