The most beautiful church in Dublin

I saw a lot of churches in Dublin, this one is really impressive. It is not far away from Christ Church cathedral, as well as on the way to Guinness factory.

This church is in the middle of Guinness land and it does not have its own grounds but is sandwiched in between buildings. Yet at the same time, one will remember this because it has a very distinctive structure with its triangular steeple and red lines. I think the prettiest church in Dublin I have seen.

I was in Prague recently, and saw some of the churches over there, and then it struck me what was so different about the Augustinian church in Dublin 8, it looks like a Gothic Czech Church! And it does too, since Prague, I have ventured across Dublin and paid a slightly touristy, slightly meditative visit to this fine church. As... More

This is a Working Church, beautiful Architecture and amazing Stained Glass Windows. Located on a walk from Christ Church Cathedral walking on Thomas Street (North Side) on our way to the Guinness Hop Store tour.

One of the more picturesque churches, it is not as austere as others but it actually comes off looking better than most. If churches are your thing, definitely worth checking out.

Dublin isnt blessed with the same fantastic architecture as the likes of Paris or Rome however this cathedral is up there with some of the finest i have seen in all my travels. It might seem a little off the beaten track however its location is actually pretty good if you are heading up to christ church or the famous... More

We like architecture and churches, so of course we had some on our 'to see' list. This one came on our way after visiting the Guinness Storehouse. Glad we took our time to have a glance on our way to the centre. It was impressive!

The church is named after St. Augustine and St. John the Baptist, but the locals refer to it as John's Lane Church since it is on the corner of John's Lane. It is also referred to as the Fenian Church. The church was built over a 33 year period starting a design phase in1860. The church steeple is the highest... More
