Blessington Street Park is one of my favourite places which will take you leisurely from Phibsborough to Broadstone with a pop into Blessington Basin if you’re so inclined. It’s a peaceful stroll through grassed areas, flora and even by bee hives.

This park happened to be near where i was staying in dublin, very small but nice (except for local homeless). I wouldn't go out of my way to go here.

An interesting place for a stroll around. Very quiet spot and a real hidden gem.Used to be a reservoir for the north of the city and now a park. When i was there it was quiet with two park wardens walking around. It did not feel unsafe. There is a nice walk to the Grand Canal if exit at the rear of the park and turn right and walk through that park. If you turn left there is a kids playground. There is an interesting mix of houses in the area . Not the nicest area in Dublin but worth a visit if you are in the area

Always wanted to visit here for a wander around "The Basin", but each time I was on my way it lashed! So this time on a lovely sunny day I took the wee guy for a walk around it and stopped to watch the ducks getting fed by people.
It's a nice spot, on a nice day, to sit on one of the benches and watch visitors stroll by.
You would not know that you were in the city because it's not noisy at all.

The Blessington Basin is located in between Dublin City Centre and Phibsboro. The water area is home to a lot of birds and ducks. Great place to just sit and relax and watch the world go by. However, there are times when the walking areas could do with a good clean.

This was once a crucial part of the water supply for the city of Dublin but now it is a charming quiet retreat from the bustle of the city. The main feature is the basin and the walkway around it. You will find a good selection of the bird life of the city on the water as well as the inevitable hordes of pigeons. The flower beds around the walled boundary are well kept and there are lovely arts works interspersed with the flowers. There are plenty of seats.

It tends to be quiet but, as another reviewer has pointed out, that can attract some troubled people. Nonetheless in all the years I have been a visitor, I have never felt intimidated here.

It's a bit hidden away and perhaps not worth making a special journey for but do include it on your walk around this part of the city.

Beautiful spot frequented by the homeless living in the nearby shelter. The serenity may be disturbed by drunken arguments.

Wonderful jewel hidden off the main drags
A lovely rectangular walk around the water feature is a favourite exercise spot for the staff of the local Mater hospital.
Beautiful wrought iron benches ideal for sunny lunchtimes with sandwiches from the local favourite Deli Suz
Drunks and worse do tend to congregate towards the phibbsboro end of the park but they are noisy but no worse.
The Gardai do visit so the park is pretty safe
