We booked this and did not realize that we would have a person on the bus singing and giving a little history on the songs and Ireland itself. Sean was absolutely a great entertainer, professional, respectful and we just loved him. Definitely do this for a more intimate way of getting to know about Ireland and its people.

I have used the red bus tours in other cities which is probably the reason why I chose this company over the other ones available. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the good humoured and knowledable guides (first one was a lady driver and second one was a 'old boy' sitting on top deck). Both guides made the tour so... A great way of getting about all the various attractions, or just for a ride round. A great laugh if you get Gary as your driver. Your ticket includes a number of offers including a 2 for 1 meal deal, an Irish coffee and a couple of drinks, which practically pays for the ticket. This is one of the best... More

Get the lay of the land. Then go tour on your own. Prefer a separate driver and speaker...as in Belfast. But it covers Dublin well and you can add another day for 3 euro Decklin sang joked entertained. Just being helpful and friendly Some guides simply read a script Great way to get around when you are tired or its... More

We wanted a convenient way to get around our chosen tourist places on our first trip to the city, and this was ideal. The buses are frequent and reliable. The driver on our first bus, Gary, was entertaining and informative, but a later bus only used prerecorded commentary.

The red route was fine and whilst the buses are old there is lots of good information shared. However we lost a couple of hours waiting for the blue route buses which apparently run every 30mins.

We didn't want to get off the bus because we were enjoying Ed's narrative so much. And Neill was a fine driver as well. The tour was insightful, and just plain fun. If we'd had more time we'd have gone the other route with them as well but, alas, we had to choose but one.
