Love this bar it is just a real traditional Irish pub, with a few friendly locals at the bar, musicians in the corner playing and of course tourists. Lots to look at and the music is great and of course the Guinness!

I recently went to O'Donoghue's in Merrion Row having not been there in at lease 10 years. My memory of this bar was a traditional Irish bar with a mellow laid back vibe. But what I found was a noisy, crowded, smokey pub. Having said...More

Went here after a bad meal nearby. It helped to counteract our bad experience with a lively buzzing experience with great music and wonderful quick service is such a busy pub. It is a 'must visit' destination for anyone going to Dublin.

We stumbled across this little pub purely by chance, a few hours after getting off the plane. As we walked past the entrance, we could already hear the buzz of live music coming from inside. The atmosphere was unlike anything I have experienced in England....More

I visited O'Donoghue's several times in late September 2012. The main entry leads to the original pub, where the Dubliners entertained and gained fame through countless traditional music "sessions" in the 20th century. Huge portraits of the original Dubliners stare down over the area where...More

Wiled away two nights here listening to the music. it was very busy both nights and had standing room only. The musicians seem to be locals who turn up because they enjoy playing the music. It does not feel that this is done for the...More

The pub made famous as the favored drinking den of the legendary Dubliners. Went in at around 8pm on a Thursday evening. The previous place we were in was almost empty so we expected this to be the same. Wrong. Barely room to stand, let...More
