We traveled for almost two weeks. The trip was absolutely amazing. We had new experiences every day. Staying at castle and visiting the church was magical. Visiting and having Irish music at Gougane Bara hotel was incredible. The forest there is like a fairy tail. You can see small fairy doors in the trees. Try not to disturb the fairies though. I loved going to different pubs and trying different drinks and the delicious food, YDU tours with Sloan and Grant had this trip well planned. They were very generous and fun to be around. I highly recommend to take their trip if you want to have an authentic Irish experience.

Beg family, borrow or panhandle. Do whatever you must to participate in this life-changing insider exploration of Ireland. Access your expectations, then triple that. Visiting historic sites is just a vehicle to finding the real history, veritable landscape and most generous people I have ever met. And the Food! Every meal a celebration. One advisory: Be able to walk a 2-3 miles a day. Increase your fitness before you go, if you can.

This was a trip of a lifetime! Absolutely them most memorable trip we have ever been on. Guides Sloan and Grant have an in-depth knowledge of Ireland and took us to their favorite “off the beaten path” finds. Everyday was WELL planned and organized. We stayed in really cool hotels, ate amazing food, and met extraordinarily friendly people. (Don’t say anything, but we would have paid a lot more!)

This tour was the best I have ever taken and I have traveled a lot. It was well organized and there was a depth of knowledge of the area that was beyond what the average tour brings to the experience. We had all kinds of activities from leisurely walks to hiking to shopping to museum going. Our accommodations were extremely good and our hosts were very warm and friendly. My partner and I are going again in the summer of 2019 to Northern Ireland and we can’t wait for another YDU tour!

It has been six days since I returned from Ireland. During this time I have processed my photographs, reflected on the Irish people and their history, and researched the places we visited during our stay. Many of these locations have delighted me with their beauty and some haunt me with their legacy. Only now, a week after returning home, has the enormity of this trip revealed itself and evolved into a truly profound experience. Thank you for all you did to make this happen for us.
