    Exceptionally well thought out tour
This is a fantastic history lesson on Dublin, so insightful, not just into tenement Dublin, but tells the story of the house from when Lord Molesworth lived there. One of the dwellings, which you go into at the end, has many real live artefacts from a tenement family. I totally recommend this tour to any Dub, from teen upwards.

A trip down memory lane to Henrietta Street
Visited 14 Henrietta Street as a large family group , our birthplace and home to our family for many years. Warmly welcomed by Sarah. Pat our guide expertly showed us around the house, with great humour and knowledge. A street of houses built for the wealthy in the 1700’s became tenement homes to the less fortunate in the 1900’s. Pat captures daily life and all its hardships in a heartfelt way, we didn’t want the tour to end. Hoping to do the outdoor tour of the area. Many thanks to Dublin City Council in preserving our heritage.

    Amazing
Four of us went on the tour on Sunday 4th December.Gillian, our tour guide was absolutely amazing. I was so touched by the history of the house and I felt this tour brought out the stories of those 100 people who lived in the house. It was so emotional at times and I felt it was one of the best tours I ever went on in Ireland. This is a must to see,put it on your 'TO DO' list to understand the social hisotry of Dublin at that time.

A little Gem on Dublin's north side
I visited last month with my college class and I was blown away by this visit. Pat brought the tenements to life and told us the history with such warmth and personality. The way the tech aspect is brought into this tenement house complements the building perfectly, it was so impressive. I found it such an emotional experience and hope to bring my family next time. The walking tour offered there too sounds great and I hope to do it soon. Pat was an absolute joy and a real credit to the place. Loved it thank you so much ❤️

    Engaging historical tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Henrietta House tour. The tour takes you through the multiple phases the house has served as originally a Georgian town house, to a law school and finally as tenement housing for the growing working population in Dublin. It is clear that the council´s goal was to preserve as much authenticity and history as possible. There is a painstaking devotion in each room to capture the time either with original artefacts or identical replicas. The tour utilises a range of technologies to help with your emersion including projector footage, recorded poetry readings and miniature models of the different architecture styles. What made our tour so special was our tour guide Sean, who expertly recounted tenement life using the histories of those who lived at Henrietta house as well as his own personal family stories. For those wanting to learn more about how their ancestors lived, through both tough times and happy memories, this is the tour for you.

Fabulous experience - don’t miss it!
This is a fantastic tour and our wonderful guide Gillian made the house and its residents come alive with her anecdotes - very enjoyable and informative and poignant too. I would also highly recommend that after doing the house tour you take the walking tour of original Georgian Dublin (we did the house tour in the morning and the walking tour after lunch). This walking tour leaves from 14 Henrietta Street also and our guide Joe was passionate and highly knowledgeable - the walking tour of the wider area really puts into context what you have learned on the house tour and adds greatly to the whole experience.

The best museum experience I've ever been to
This was - hands down - the best museum experience I've ever been to. It's totally fascinating and engrossing, and beautifully done. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable, and the whole tour is delivered with a passion for social justice and the everyday histories of Dublin's people. Honestly, I was blown away - the best thing I did in Dublin. Every city should have a place like this.

Well worth the visit! A truly wonderful and riveting tour with Sheila, who brought us along on an incredible adventure into Dublin's past. Beautifully choreographed with both interesting, informative antidotes mixed in with short films, all of which made for a memorable afternoon. Thank you Sheila. You are the best! A

    Highly recommend a visit!
Myself and my boyfriend love learning about history wherever we travel to and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It lasts for about an hour and a half. Our tour guide Pat was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and we learnt a lot from him. In each room you learn about the families that lived there, what it was like for them at the time, and about the house itself. There are also lots of videos projected onto walls which offer great insight into the period of time being discussed. Would highly recommend visiting but would not recommend for those with young children as it does involve a lot of listening :)

Gillian was a fantastic tour guide. She was funny, passionate and very knowledgeable. I really loved her storytelling and learned a lot about the city I live in. My parents who are in their 60s/70s also thoroughly enjoyed it so it’s very fitting for a variety of ages. The tour was a little bit more than an hour and it moved along at a great pace so I never once felt bored. I’d highly recommend!

One of the very best tours in Dublin. Gillian is a true historian and teacher. Highly recommend. Gives real perspectives and lived stories of Dublin from society that don’t always have a voice. They are given their overdue in this Georgian home with enthusiasm and reverence.

Amazing, I loved every single part of it. It Was very educational and taught me a lot about Dublin's very troubled history. The tour guide was funny, kind and informative. I loved how in every room you would have walls, roof and floor from the 1700s and decor from the 1800 and 1900s, it felt more alive to see it all coming together to help be more educational. I really enjoyed my trip (if you couldn't already tell) and I would really recommend it.

Fantastic tour of a fascinating former tenement house. Our tour guide Gillian was excellent-really passionate & knowledgeable. She brought the stories of the former residents to life in a really vivid way. This type of social history of ordinary people is so often neglected. My 2nd visit since it opened & I've been recommending this to all my family & friends. Great value for €8 each. Well done to all concerned 👏

Enjoyable and educational from start to finish. Real Irish greeting from the girls at reception and our guide Pat was excellent. He was able to put across the sombre part but throw in a bit of wit to lighten the story appropriately. Would love to see the tour extended as I am sure there is more to see in the full house. Good value for money and Pat had time for a chat with anyone who had questions or memories at the end. Highly recommend.

This house was built in the 1700's for a wealthy couple who raised their family here. It became a tenement with about 100 people living in the building in the 19th and 20th centuries. The tour guide was animated and knowledgeable. There were 17 people in our group as we toured three of the floors in this building. For anyone interested in the history of Dublin -- this is not to be missed.

This took the history I had learned while visiting Dublin and turned it into more then just a story. Jillian was my tour guide, but she was more then that. Her ability to turn this place into more then a museum was so unbelievably moving. This was by far the most incredibly emotional experience of my entire trip. It is an experience that I will never forget.
