Today we continued where we left off last year by going on our first monthly tour of 2019. The venue in Dublin city center was the GPO Witness history experience, and like previous ventures we were not let down by a fantastic guide by the...More

It's a good museum, but the real highlight is the video simulation of the Easter Uprising. It's fascinating, if a little dizzying. This spot is not a must-see, but if you're interested in Irish revolutionary history it's a great spot.

Take your time. Read every panel. View every video. This exhibit will touch your heart’s desire for freedom and its power to hope. As a Texan, I could not help but remember the Alamo.

This was out third Museum in the quest to better understand the complexity of Irish history. This facility explains the 1916 Rising and does a fine job putting it useful context. The museum methods have some traditional displays, some video, a cool movie and a...More

Five of us (2 adults & 3 kids) went in for the 'Fianna' themed tour. Having co-authored 2 bestselling books about the Rising and its aftermath I can be a bit of a purist. I'm happy to say that everything about this was exceptional. The...More

I would still say this is a must see if in Dublin despite my average rating. I enjoyed the building and just standing their thinking as opposed to the actual visitor centre.

It's a difficult challenge to tell a story of a national uprising. Here this challenge is won. The museum is beautiful, interactive and very interesting. An effort was done to stay objective and not to impose one's vision over the history. It's a must-visit place...More
