A great way to learn about and see what led up to the Easter Rising and what became of it. A self guided audio visual tour that helps bring to life the events of the days leading up to the event.

I enjoyed the museum, as I am a history buff~ all of the relics of the past laid out to explain people and points of interest that led up to the Easter Day taking of the General Post Office in Dublin. Powerful witness of history....More

Hi Thomas G, Thanks for taking the time to review your experience with us. The entrance fee would be comparable to similar attractions in Dublin and the money goes towards the running and upkeep of the experience. Regards John

Wonderful tour, but I must warn visitors who suffer from migraine (or epilepsy) that the screening of the enactment of 1916 left me suffering from an awful head for the rest of the day! There is a warning, but to my mind it isn't strong...More

The display downstairs in the GPO is fascinating, but a little confusing if you don't already know something about the Easter Rising... Do a little research first, and this display will really bring it to life.

What a great museum - wonderful if you're interested in the 1916 rebellion and Irish history Showed the history from all sides - short movie was well done, and vignettes narrated by historians were helpful.

This museum is in the basement of the GPO building and provides a nice explanation of some of Ireland's recent history. We found the film slightly disorientating but all in all very good. There is a cafe here also.

Very interesting exhibition with excellent audio guides and a superb immersive video presentation. Some of the sequencing if the exhibits was a little bit tricky but overall we felt it was a really good way to appreciate the turbulent birth of the nation. Recommend booking...More

Before going in we were a bit undecided because the price of the entrance plus audio guide is quite high, 14 euros for adults. But now I can say that it is totally worth it if you want to learn more about the Easter Rising...More
