This Famous Pub is nestled at the foothills of the Blue Stack Mountains, on the Banks of the Lowerymore River, nine miles from Ballybofey and six miles from Donegal Town. Biddy's was originally an Inn, dating back to the 18th century, a time when the Coach was the main form of transport, here was a stopping point, where horses were rested, and travellers relaxed before the next stage of their long and tiring journey through the Gap. Biddy's O'Barnes, to this day remains a stopping point for today's traveller. People from all over the world now pass through these doors. Pub grub served daily. However you spend your time with us, we hope you enjoy your visit.

This is a great location for a quick bite to eat or a few drinks. We arrived at around 11 in the morning and even then the atmosphere was great. We ordered 6 soups with rolls, ham toastie and ham and chicken sandwiches. All of which were served within minutes after ordering. The food was delicious. Really recommend Biddy's!

Stopped here for a bite to eat because I'd heard so many people talking about it. Entered the bar where there was a man sitting at the bar swearing very loudly (this was about 2.30 on a Monday afternoon). So we asked if there was somewhere quieter we could sit, as I didn't want to sit and listen to language... More

Called into 'Biddy's' with my father who is in his 90's on our way home from a stay in Mount Falcon Estate, Ballina to allow him to reflect on past memories of times he used to stop on his way through the Gap. Very quiet that day and we enjoyed soup and a sandwich along with two pints. The girl... More

On our visit to Ireland, my wife wanted to go to Biddy's. Whenever her parents visited they would always make a stop at this pub. We went and discovered a real jewel in the middle of the mountains. As we arrived there was a tour bus just leaving. It is very quaint and there is ample parking and even picnic... More

Beautiful and authentic irish public house in operation for over two hundred years. I love the history of hospitality being recreated on a daily basis. Nothing more scenic than the hills of barnesmore gap and a perfect spot to have a pint in front of the fire.

I had the best Guinness in a long time in Biddy O'Barnes on Saturday! It seems to be a bit hit with the hen parties, two coach loads arrived whilst we were there. Some people ordered food and it seemed to be served really quickly.
