We went on this tour and got to sit upstairs in the open. The tour narrator was great he gave us great information was funny, told great jokes, sang songs. We saw the seals about 100 of them it was great. We also saw thousands of oyster traps and learned that the cattle graze on the islands then come in... More

This is a nice change to all the mountainous walks available in Donegal and offers a chance to actually sit down and relax. There is actually facilities on board for food and drinks and cheap daily car parking is available opposite the pier. Booking is essential and if you want specific seating, show up very early! If you are lucky,... More

Took a trip on the Donegal Bay Waterbus with my mother and three kids during the weekend of the fantastic Donegal Bay Maritime Festival. We boarded the Waterbus on time at 3pm and headed out to Donegal Bay. Eamonn our guide during the trip was very welcoming and he had a great knowledge of the history of the bay area.... More

Took this trip on a wet August day and water seemed choppy but we couldn't feel it on the boat. A bus load of Germans had filled the boat out and they seemed to like the irish coffees. We had been advised not to go on the boat with kids as apparently the onboard entertainment was inappropriate and crude. This... More

Went on this trip recently on a beautiful day. Lovely boat with excellent facilities, friendly staff has the potential to be a memorable experience and was quite good but the 'guide' or entertainer who sang and told stories was difficult to understand (too fast, mumbled) told risque jokes, sang silly nursery rhymes continually, was boring, and only occasionally told some interesting... We took the trip as we were visiting Donegal time. The trip was sold as a trip visiting historical sites of Donegal. We sat upstairs at the back, Don't! There was a speaker for listing to the commentary but we couldn't hear it. We used our guide to pin point the relevant sites. This was ok and we saw a... More

Came across this trip whilst in Donegal town recently and thought it would be worth the trip. Given the fare of €20 we had high expectation of an interesting trip.we were wrong, there was little to see, an olde derelict building, a glimps of a former retreat on and islan, a few seals and not much else. Definitely overpriced and... More

We went on the water bus cruise on the Spurr of the moment without reading reviews. The cruise had great potential to a fun and informative time for all. The MC started off to inform us about the farming practices. And then he started with his poor choice of jokes with a singing session, dragging up others to sing. The... More

It started with us going to top deck fortunately it was dry. Then your man started with the awful jokes and singing kids songs. He told us about the land marks around us etc....It started to mile so we headed down to the bottom deck and got some juice from the bar. and it ended with your man's awful jokes... More
