About
We are two people who love the style, the sound and the look of all things past. We are a record store, a vintage clothes store, we have antiques, retro and collectible items. We like the weird and the wonderful. Our music covers 20s jazz, 80s punk, rock music, and everything in between. Our clothes are vintage for both women and men. As for the rest come and see for yourselves!

You could literally spend hours in this place- when I was walking past there were railings of clothes outside, but a Super 8 Camera in the window caught my eye. On entering, I could see there was so much more to this shop- I was kept busy for an hour sifting through the record collection, delighted to find vinyls here that were unavailable in other shops I'd tried (mainly in dublin), and then moved on to the various artefacts and film equipment that lie on the higher shelves. asked the owner about some of the old cameras, and he knew his stuff- was really friendly and informative. only back to Cork now and then but I always stop in for a look around- you're sure to find something you'll like! Need more shops like this one!

'The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there' is one of the most famous opening lines of literature (LP Hartley, The Go Between)-amidst the bewildering, desensitising and dehumanising barrage of social media, 24 hours news coverage, instant gratification and selfies the lure of the past is still one of the most powerful human impulses and a necessary escape from the chaos of everyday life. Step into this wonderful shop, leave the iphone behind you and immerse yourself in a veritable treasure trove of the way we used to be (and hopefully will be again). As a music lover, the highlight for me has to be the stacks and stacks of vinyl, from 60s to punk to prog to 80s and everything in between. No experience can compare to browsing through randomly assorted records and discovering an album that you never got around to getting/ an album that you always wanted to hear on vinyl-all with proper artwork and sleeves, none of those plastic CD atrocities with xerox quality inserts. Browsing here is the best of that experience that I've had. There's also a huge stock of clothes, ornaments (the stag's head being the most striking!) and everything else you can think of that should never go out of fashion. The shop itself possesses the kind of charm you would associate with a
Victorian apothecary/ grocery-quite small and a little difficult to move around amidst the bursting racks of records etc but that's all part of the experience!- and is obviously a labour of love for Colin and Eilis, the owners, who are very engaging and helpful. I come to Cork regularly and every time I visit I leave with a stack of LPs and wondering what the Latin name for an excessive fondness for music on vinyl is. An essential part of anyone's experience of Cork.

We visited Blackpool for the weekend and when visiting places I always look out for 2nd hand and independent record stores. The shop is packed with great titles at great prices. A fantastic wide range on 7inch, 12inch singles and LP'S.
If you in Blackpool or visiting. Give them a go you won't be disappointed.

This store is compact, but don't let the small footprint fool you--it is LOADED with vintage treasures for your turntable, closet, and home. The owner is friendly and eager to share his knowledge with shoppers. He was more than happy to play records for us so we could hear the quality and suggest other artists that we might like. This store is totally worth visiting for the selection and the down-to-earth, authentic appreciation of all things vintage.

Unfortunately closed but from what I could see in the window (reel to reel decks, old electrical bric-a-brac, turntables etc) it's on my list for my next visit.
