Great nostalgic pub for me spent many a great night there having my first few scoops . Staff are friendly and engaging best thing about the pub is the bouncer keeps everyone safe and a gent of a man the pints are the first best thing about the pub but the bouncer is a close second hes a great character to have a the door other bouncers in cork should take a leaf out of his book .

Me and Becky stopped here for a drink and Becky loved the baileys coffee and I enjoyed my salty dog crisps and Diet Coke. Is a brilliant place to people watch and plan your next place to visit

Having been born & bred in Cork and now visiting as an emigrant - this was my first visit to this central spot. I will be back. Located in the heart of the medieval core - outdoor seating and seating in a nice bright (oval shaped - hence the name) bar. Unlike most of pubs in Cork, a good selection of cradt beers.

Lovely staff - pleasant and efficient. Nice sized glass of wine or the apperol spritz is a great option. Staff have no hesitation giving customers a taste of beer to help them decide. Always busy.

After we finished dinner we wanted to stop for a few more drinks before calling it quits... a couple of guys stopped us outside of The Roundy to tell us to come to a free comedy show upstairs. We didn’t have plans so we said yes! It’s kind of a funny story from there because we (the Americans) were the only people at the show besides the comics. Haha! Now I won’t give the comedians a rating, but as far as The Roundy goes 10/10. We had a great time upstairs and then downstairs after the show! Stop in if you’re in Cork!
