It's a shopping centre, with a sub-standard Tesco (in terms of range of goods), and the same old same old shops that you see in any other shopping centre in Ireland or the UK.

It's clean. There are good clean toilets at the cinema end of the complex, there is a food court on two levels with, again, the usual suspects - Nando's, O'Briens, McD's, a bagel place, a coffee and muffin place, a Chinese place, an Italian place and others. You're bound to find something to eat.

Lots of free parking which is a joy.

Can't really say much more about it. A shopping centre is a shopping centre is a shopping centre. Have a look online for the list of shops if you want specific details.

The sulky madam on the "help desk" at the front door really needs to learn to smile and be pleasant though, and give specific directions, not wave her hand behind her in a "can't be bothered" way.

Oh, a word of warning. If visiting from the UK, watch out for the cost of books in Easons. They wanted to charge €42 for Jamie's 15minute meals. It costs £12 in the UK. Rip-off.

We have been going to the cinema here since it opened its always a night out early dinner shopping then a movie. I have to say the screen g rooms need a serious clean we were at a movie 4 times over the last 6 weeks 3 of those were an early showing and the place is filthy. Dirty seats the cup holders are actually a science experiment I'm sure god only knows when they were cleaned last. Staff don't seem to bothered they walk around with dustpan not sure they actually use them. This is disappointing because we love the cinema here but wake up and clean it there are NO Excuses. Not sure if they read these reviews but would love some feedback.

If you want a lesson on how to put People off going to the cinema, The Omniplex is the the best example you can get. What an ordeal these days going to the pictures can be and I am not the only one that expressed this. It was 2 years since my last visit and let it be more than that the next time. Poxy touch screens everywhere which take more time ar$ing about with then going to the counter and telling someone what you need. Mind you the people I dealt with could barely get the order of 3 popcorn and 3 drinks right not to mind the massive prices for everything there. The cinema is fine but the stress of getting it, Well never again. I go to a proper one Like Youghal....

I went to McDonalds in Mahon Point this evening to get a tea to bring with me to the cinema(queue was really long in the Xpresso Café). After putting in the milk and wiping up a small spill with a napkin I was looking for a place to put the waste. I was trying to ask the man serving if there was a small bin/container I could put this rubbish in. He cut me off and crossly said.. this is a big foodcourt and there is a big bin over there as he pointed to the bin. I was so shocked by his rudeness that I didn't do anything for a moment. Then he took the few items and put them in a bin just under the counter. The man in question was so rude I felt I had to write a review.

We visited man in point cinema cork last Tuesday
What a disgrace
We booked on line
When we arrived there was 1 ticket ATM machine out of 5 working
No one in the ticket office / customer service desk (it was actually closed)
No manager actively on duty
Lots of young stuff behind the popcorn counter more interested in laughing and giggling and chatting to each other.
We got to see our movie even though it had started by the time we got in.
The cinema is a badly ran badly managed joke. It's an absolute disgrace, get yourselves a proper management system and run the place correctly.
Then it would be a nice place.
There is no excuse for 1 machine out of 5 working.
There is no excuse for dirty toilets.
There is no excuse for this dirty untidy entrance and poorly badly managed operation
Regards
Nigel

We book ahead online.. 3 out of 4 of the ticket collection machines are not working correctly...

We want a bottle of water and have to queue with everyone who hasn't booked on line to get said bottle of water.. no fast track lane

About 20 young staff behind the counter... more interested in chatting to one another than calling the next customer from a line that has wound back and forth with no ergonomic flow.. and after your purchase, when you're lucky enough to have been graced with "service" without a a smile, greeting or thank you.. you've to try to get past all the other people in order to escape the conundrum.

Popcorn everywhere including on the seats and floor when we got into our seats... and used tissues in the drinks holder!?

Wake up omniplex people... and sort it out for christ's sake! There's a basic level of service, organisation and cleanliness that one can expect.

Bad neighbors was the film... enjoyed the laugh..

I have been unfairly clamp today by the private Apcoa service in the free parking of Mahon shopping center. I came very early this morning for some business meeting and the company I work for located in Mahon city gate advised me that I can park around the area near the shopping all day because it’s free , specially that I planned shopping around. I decided to park near B&Q. In my understanding part of Mahon shopping centre according to their website. I was surprised coming back from few meeting and shopping around , so at 5.30pm to see my car clamped. This is such a disgrace 😡!!! First of all , there is nothing in their sign indicated that nobody can stay all day in the parking and their receipt after you pay the fine of 105 Eur, another way to stole your money 😠, clearly mention nothing about it.
Such a bad customer service from mahon point to authorize clamping even if their website say “ FREE PARKING” , so beware of that !!!! This is a total lie, you can’t stay shopping or visiting a company around all day. I will definitely put my review everywhere in the net !!!

i am not a fan of macdonalds firstly but on a recent visit to mahon point with my 4 year old granddaughter and she wished to have macdonalds, i said ok lets go. i never again want to see the place again. it was horrendous, staff despondent, couldn't care less, like robots, system of ordering food and requeueing to get your so called food ridiculous, waiting i would say half an hour to be served, got a so called burger, you could bounce it off the wall and fries for my granddaughter, i wouldn't even say it was food, a rubber burger and cold fries. disgraceful. do not go there, how macdonalds are getting away with the thrash they dish out is a mystery to me

Mahon Point shopping centre is a vile unimaginative sterile complex, & whoever built it ought to have looked at shopping complexes in other countries for ideas , seeing as they had none of their own when setting it up .
