Decided to write after seeing such bad reviews. Granted I went on a Monday but it had a crowd arrive about 11 for karaoke but no one sang just in there groups haha. Anyways all the staff hustled and were nice and fast. Place was clean. Young crowd cause of college so it provided some excellent people watching. I can see why some nights the bouncers have to be tough. It’s a big place. On first floor everyone was toward back bar, you get easily stay near front bar and have a more relaxed experience.

As the title states very large bar more of a late night venue the food could only be classed as fast food the staff are friendly and the service was fine.

Good place to watch sport and then get into the spirit of things with their live festive music afterwards

The old oak is a headwreck from start to finish. Firstly 1-Got accused of not paying for our order and when we finally received the order our waitress said "here's your free drink" in a sarcastic manner.
2- The woman behind the bar who had pink hair never wore a mask, was dressed extremely innaporpriately (clearly not in line with HACCP training) and if she spent more time preparing the drink orders instead of dancing and flirting with other staff members the service would be acceptable.

All I would say is go here if you want to wait an eternity for your order, catch covid from Staff who wear no masks and deal with staff who are obnoxious and border line aggressive.....

Nice looking bar, but don’t go into the restrooms unless you like having your junk photographed on video. They have 2 illegal cameras in the bathrooms recording the urinals and all of the stalls. When I mentioned it to the bartender, an ignorant customer wanted to try and start a fight with me about it.

We have had like 3 rounds of beer and whiskey plus a salad and a burger. Our last order has not been realised although I have reminded the waitress about it. We have waited additional 25 minutes and nothing happened. I am hugely disappointed with the situation.

Went to the Old Oak last night with some friends, was served by an incredible waitress named Emily. excellent customer service from her, very friendly and more than accommodating. Very bubbly and helpful with recommendations. Lovely night!

NEVER AGAIN. Came in here on Thursday night with two colleagues after work, something which we do frequently as we work just down the road and like a pint after work on occasion. We ordered a few rounds and after a while went out for a cigarette. My friend got up from the smoking area to go inside to use the restroom and was manhandled by the bouncers, was accused of hopping the fence and thrown out. My friend was able to produce receipts for his drinks, and was trying to explain that we had been there for an hour and a half, but they just continued to push him out of the way. I then went over to see what the trouble was, leaving my handbag at the table. I was also thrown out, pushed, and shouted at. I asked that I be allowed to get my handbag and I was pushed and shouted at even more. Thankfully some people who had been sitting near us passed me out my things. Will never be coming back to the Old Oak, and nor will anyone who works with us as they are disgusted with how we were treated. Ye have lost several returning, regular customers because your bouncers are extremely rude and clearly had no idea how to interact with the public.

Cork City. Former City of Culture. Should be ashamed to offer this Venue a Licence To Trade. Over the way the Staff and Management Treat Members of Corks Gay Community. I am Delighted to see the public disgust over their actions. Make Cork City a nicer place to Live and Do Not Support THE OLD OAK.

Just awful. Dirty cups, rude waiters, dirty toilets. Old and dirty furniture. Becomes really crowded and noisy in the nights.
