This is the original traditional irish pub. It has THE SWEETEST GUINNESS I've ever tasted, the Craic and the music are second to none.... An absolute must if you're in the area, if you're not, make it your business to get there... If six stars were available Mike would get them

None of the pictures are postable, but the memories will be there forever, or at least until they are over written by more madder new ones. Perfect pints will unleash the devil in you.... a must for anyone with a heartbeat

I had a pint of beamish, when I finished the pint there was an unidentified black object in the bottom of the glass...mouse droppings or mold from the line perhaps? Who knows? As I was driving home I started to feel a sore throat coming on,next morning I have a raging sore throat.
My friend had a hot toddy and Carlsberg draught..the Carlsberg was undrinkable...maybe lying in the line too long...who knows, but it was utterly u drinkable. The hot toddy he had was dreadful too,way too much sugar and very little Jameson.
Never again.

My wife and I were at a friends wedding here recently and couldnt believe how well it went off. I had been here previously and thought it might have been a bit small for a wedding. However Mike had erected a great marquee in the back. that along with the covered outside area made it a fantasitc place. well done to mike and staff for a great day and of course the bride and groom.

Poc ar Buile is a hidden gem. In balinrostig a tiny village in east cork near Aghada it is a joy to walk in thete to roaring fires in winter and outdoor terrace in the summer. A genuine irish pub full of olde world charm and atmosphere. A must visit pub if you are in the area

This bar is a little gem, very funky and friendly. Mike the owner is extremely relaxed and personable. It is the only pub in the village. Live music on but check what nights. Definitely worth a pit-stop
