We called here just after we arrived in Cork to ask for ideas on what to do.We found an extremely helpful person, Anthony, who took the time to make many suggestions that he thought would be suitable for us. Among his suggestions was a visit to Nano Nagle's Place, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We wanted to go to Kinsale so he suggested that when we were there we could take the Local Link Bus, which we had never heard of, to Clonakilty. This went via Old Head and the coast and was very interesting. He was able to suggest so many places in Cork for us to see that it would encourage us to visit again

This Information centre is staffed by delightful helpful and knowledgable staff. Recently helped me find a Kite for my sons Birthday, as I couldn't carry it on board Ryan Air flight. Now as everything is closed down due to the dreadful Covid 19, I hope they will keep their chins up, and we will all be able to travel to lovely Cork, have dinner in my favourite restaurant Market Lane, followed by visiting The Castle restaurant and Observatory at Blackrock very soon, Please take great care of yourselves and you at Trip Advisor too,

My latest visit to the Tourist office was a couple of weeks ago but I have visited here regularly. A more central location would be better - perhaps in or beside the new Capital building. Otherwise, it is a great office with lovely, helpful, friendly, informative staff. It has a good range of guidebooks and other tourist related goods. It is an excellent starting point for any tourist who has arrived in Cork city and wants to plan out their visit.

The staff were particularly well-informed about Heritage Week which ran recently and was a wonderful event with many fascinating tours/events/visit in Cork.

I particularly enjoyed the walking tour of South Mall with the Irish Georgian Society (Kevin Hurley); the "Cork Earthquake of 1755" walking tour with Anthony Beese (Geologist); Elizabeth Fort with its amazing views of Cork and Nano Nagle Place which celebrates the wonderful Nano Nagle, educator of the poor of Cork & founder of the Presentation sisters. These were all absolutely superb.

I have just spent 4 weeks in Acet in OLIVIA intermediate class. Olivia is a great teacher and so patient with my mistakes.

Acet is a good school - I have been to other schools in Ireland but Acet is better.
Thank you everybody.

Stopped by for directions and assistance just before closing time. The gentleman was extremely helpful and understanding. Took the time to provide really easy directions and suggested a bus route, too.

Just another tourist information centre. They have all the maps of other places. The people there do have local information and local maps for the area.

We had the attention of one of the staff for a good 15 minutes, as she minutely went into detail of all the must-see places in Cork, and marked them (and a few places we knew of but didn't know where they were) onto a map for us. We made use of her map all week, so greatful thanks from us!

Ever since we came home I keep telling everyone how hiring Paul from Cork Airport Taxi was the best decision I ever made. We originally contacted him to take us on a little tour of Cork, but after a couple emails decided to have him pick us up in Killarney and drive us down through Bantry, Mizen Head, Dromberg Stone Circle, Kinsale and back to Cork. We spent an amazing day with Paul as he stopped along the way at beautiful vistas, folly ruins, and historic sites, al the while listening to his crazy jokes and learning about his family and his time spent with other tourists. We had so much fun with him that we hired him the next day too to take us to Ballycotton, Cobh and back to Kinsale. Finally, on top of it all, he generously picked us up the next morning to take us to the train (less than a mile away, but with big bags, it was a relief to have him). I Highly, HIGHLY, recommend hiring Paul and I hope to be back again soon with more friends to enjoy his historical knowledge, local knowledge but most of all his company. Thanks Paul!!!

A big tourist information centre, with lots of free booklets. You will find everything you need to know about the country you are going to visit.

Brochures, advice, directions--they do it all with a smile. I went back each day, as the hop on hop off bus stop is right in front. They have a great location, in front of a lovely monument and close to the river. Even if you are familiar with Ireland or Cork-they have information you need!
