This is a Georgian building, therefore built with Cork was under British rule. It is a formidable limestone building, with many courtrooms, some of which date back to Victorian times, when I understand the building was rebuilt after a fire. One of the courtrooms is the former County Council chamber. The appearance of the courtrooms is old and authentic. One could be back in the days of the Irish RM.

It is a live court. you can visit and sit in on trials. just make sure your phone is on silent! however, it can be hard to hear all the parties involved. They seem to avoid the microphones rather than use them!

Impressive Structure

Huge solid building. Fans of architecture and historical buildings will enjoy it. It could photograph well, but it is difficult to get an open angle of it; lots of other tall buildings around it. The interior was renovated in recent years, but only certain parts are open to the public.
