University College Cork is one of Ireland’s most prestigious universities. It boasts a vibrant, modern campus with a student experience second to none in Ireland. A learning community where the student is at the heart of everything and the special relationship between student and lecturer is primary to our unique ethos. The campus is located a mere ten minutes walk from the heart of Cork city, a former European Capital of Culture. Cork is listed as a top ten location in the Lonely Planet guide which states it “has always had an unshakeable self-confidence and innate sense of pride”, a description which is equally applicable to the University itself

Studied Religion here in Spring of 2008. I was young and full of dreams, and this university nurtured those dreams. Beautiful old beautiful with world class facilities - plus they offered a course on Sea Monsters. Fantastic place to walk around for an afternoon and remember the old times (both medieval and from college).

Located in the passages to either side of the entrance to the old quad, the collection of ogam stones allows one to get close to these fascinating items. The accompanying notes are detailed, some explaining how the ogam script may be translated. In conditions of low sun, some of the marks are hard to spot, but later in the day,... More

Smallish college campus. Many file old stone buildings. Check the limestone area outside Student centre. Nice area- even if it is Chinese imported stone. Not as if Ireland did not have enough of its own limestone! Short riverside walk. Glucksman gallery and shop on site with nice cafe in its basement.

Well worth the time to visit this great college. The grounds are beautiful as are the old storied buildings. Never went into many of the buildings but did cruise through on of the open ones. The river is adjacent so lots of trees, flowers and green grass. Don't pass this up if you are in Cork

Great historical location, scenic walking routes by the river, beautiful campus with all mods and cons. Lots of handy shops on site. Open for public events and has regularly operating gallery.
