Wonderful

Thoroughly enjoyed walking around the historic English Market. The highlight was eating in the Farmgate Cafe. The menu is quite extensive and the food and wine were both excellent and you get to look down on the market as you eat.

Waste of Time!

Very disappointed in our visit. We went on a Monday, early in the morning. Most of the vendors were not open or just getting set up. No one acknowledged us or said good morning. Originally we wanted to go to the restaurant on the second floor but it is closed for renovations. Not what we hoped!

A one day visit to look around Cork. The English market was certainly worth including. Especially the fish .

Must see and smell the market!

Typical market like you also have in eg Poland, but the difference is the cleanliness and smell. This market in Cork is clean, neither vermin nor flies. Furthermore the smell is nice, especially in the fish area (according to the photos also visited by HM the Queen of England).

A must when visiting Cork city

Fascinating market. When you visit and you are staying in a hotel you wish you were self catering to use the wonderful produce on display.

Worth a walk around or a stop for a coffee to watch the world go by. Excellent poultry, meat, fish, spice, and condiment stalls.

Interesting place to visit once, mainly food oriented for locals. Fresh fish and meat products available, baking looked beautiful.

Local Markets
Sep 2021 • Friends
It was a real market for local people daily purchase, please don’t expect it like those famous “ Market “ at London or Barcelona.
Really limited fresh foods eating on the spots .
A cafe on 2nd floor , not sure any special dishes serving .
Spend your time for leisure walk around is alright .

Array of quality food
Sep 2021 • Family
Took a stroll around the market in early Sept. There are plenty of stalls selling an array of quality food, from meat to seafood, cheese to chocolate and artisan breads.
My wife said the cheese stall had many goat and sheep cheese she had not seen before, whilst we also bought a mixed pack of O'Flynns sausages.
We did note the market got alot busier later in the morning.
