we're glad that we made this day trip. It was a lovely day and we seem to have beaten the cruise ship tours that were coming to Blarney Castle. The line to get up to the top to Kiss the Blarney Stone wasn't too bad. And, yes, kissing the stone was an experience. Something to check off of my not very defined bucket list. Grounds of the castle are lovely.

Blarney Castle and the surrounding grounds are truly beautiful. We really enjoyed the visit but we did not kiss the Blarney Stone. There is a large Irish store just outside the gardens with a great selection of Irish glass ware, woolens, and of course souvenirs. Restaurant and bar in same complex.

The place to go to Kiss the Blarney Stone. A lot of steep narrow steps to climb so one need to be i9n fairly good health to achieve this. There are some lovely gardens to walk around and there was aPiper playing at the time of our visit

Another old castle, it rained steadily the day we were here. Don't let the rain stop you but make sure you always have a rain coat with you. I did not climb the stairs to go to kiss the blarney stone. My daughter did. The grounds here are amazing, well tended and so lush and serene. There's a reverence about the country of Ireland and Scotland. We thoroughly enjoyed being here!

One of the top attractions - great as a day trip - and of course, kissing the Blarney Stone is a highlight. For people who struggle with stairs or claustrophobic people, this could be challenging. Great photos to be taken and lovely walks in the gardens. Good options for a light meal and shopping after exploring. Always remember a raincoat and good shoes (for most of the outdoor attractions in Ireland)

During our coach tour of Ireland, we spent about 3 hours at the castle and the nearby village. The castle is awesome to see, and pretty easy to walk to from the parking lot. There are also lots of trails on the property, and more to see if you have the time and energy. We were pretty content with just the castle and the house. We did not kiss the Blarney stone, having been warned ahead of time how you had to lay down and contort your body to do it. Plus the fact that it was a 45 minute wait just to get up there. But even if you don't, it's still worth seeing the castle, walking the grounds, and hitting the shops & restaurants nearby.

This place is so much more than just the stone. Plan for at least a few hours, or better yet, a whole day! I arrived very shortly after opening, went straight to kiss the stone, and spent most of the rest of the time exploring the grounds. I had seen online that an average visit lasts 2-3 hours, my party stayed for 5! As far as the stone goes, please really consider if stairs and tight spaces are your thing before lining up. I’m a 5’1 and average weight woman with tiny feet yet I still felt a bit confined in those winding towers with narrow steps. Those things don’t bother me but keep that in mind for you. IMO, the castle and stone are worth it. However, my fav parts were various places throughout the grounds. Soooo many things to see! My family spent 11 days in Ireland and our day at Blarney was one of our absolute favorite days. Don’t miss it!

We visited on a rainy day but the trip was still absolutely beautiful. Loved the castle and of course the walk to the top to kiss the Blarney Stone. Note that the walk on a curved circular staircase is definitely hard for anyone with any type of handicap. The gardens are beautiful with walks through wooded areas, English style gardens, ladies borders, and even an area called “the jungle“. Also checked out the manor house as well as the old carriage and stable area. Lovely visit.

We arrived at the castle grounds mid morning, a very busy time. When we went to the area where you enter the tower to go up to see the Blarney Stone there was a line that was going to take at least 90minutes to get to the stone. We went off to look at the gardens instead and Blarney House. The gardens are very well maintained and there are some magnificent trees to see. We came back to the line after that and it had not gotten any shorter so we gave the idea of seeing the Blarney Stone away. We visited the lovely stable area and the caves. Must have been a terrific castle In its day, you can find out all about it on site. Best to be there on opening time if you want to kiss the Stone.

We visited Blarney Castle as part of a tour group. We chose our tour as this was included and was something we wanted to see. We entered the grounds and our tour was prepaid, so we went right into the park. As soon as you entered there was a cafe to get a coffee or something to eat as well as restrooms. Coming off a bus, I appreciated both before starting our tour. The grounds were beautiful with flowers and wetlands as we walked to the castle and many places to take photos. We got to the castle and got in line which slowly moved along. We were in line about 45 minutes and finally made our way to the Blarney Stone, quickly kissed the stone, then made our way out of the castle. We then spent a while walking around the grounds and over to the Blarney Mansion which was an additional fee to enter and we did not go in, which I now regret. The grounds were large and at one point we had to use our phones to see where we were and get back to the bus. On the way out there was a gift shop. We enjoyed our tour of the castle and grounds.
