Excellent experience with all the activities on the farm. 2 kids aged 4 and 5 and both parents had an absolute ball. Brilliant experience with only one major bad point. At the end of the day we got food in the restaurant, which cost over 50 euros and was very very disappointing. Kids got nuggets and chips which looked tiny on the plate (very few chips) and the nuggets were obviously cheap as they were almost inedible. Adult meals were marginally better but no where near value for money.

Something for the entire family. Beautiful scenery, Lots of playground activities. Plenty of picnic tables - I would recommend bringing food for the grownups as the restaurant is really only an option for the kids. Great staff. Lots of parking. Lovely petting zoo. Lots to tire out the younger kids. Crazy golf for the older kids and diggers. Everything is well spaced out. I regret not having bought an annual ticket. Coffee dock station outside too..... and a gift shop as you leave that isn't over priced.

Had the best family day out ever and for such a great price. From the minute we walked in the door until we left 4 hours later, my 2 small kids, aged 4 and 2 were kept entertained. I believe it to be one of the best value for money places we have visited. There was everything from animals, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, go karts, barrel train, maze, fairy gardens, museums, the list goes on. There really is something for every one, no matter your age. It costs €2 extra for a ride on a real mini digger. We thought this was great value. A ride on the bumpers at our local funfair costs €3 so for my 2 year old to get to control a real mini digger for €2 was excellent value. It rained for some of our visit but there was plenty to do indoors so weather isn’t really an issue. We didn’t sample the food but looked lovely. There were plenty picnics tables to have your own picnic outside so we did that. We also did the chocolate lolly pop making and the kids loved it. We will definitely be back and we only wish we lived a little closer so we could make use of the annual membership. Outstanding value for an outstanding day. As for COVID, there were sanitisers every where and they were working a one way system so we felt safe every where we went. Well done Leahys

Okay, so my son is 5, we love leahys. However the Santa Experience was brutal. Waiting outside in a queue for 20 mins the weather was baltic. Got Inside to a shed that had a crib, waited another 10 mins, too many adults and children, onto another shed that had 1 slide on a bale of hay, waited another 10 mins, not enough interaction with kids, it was cringe and cold, Santa himself was a joy, the gift was cheap broke by the time we got home. The kids meal which consisted of 4 nuggets and about 10 chips was €8.50 no drink in that. Everything in there was soooooo over priced, never again.

We went to leahys with 4 kids. Aged 8, 7 and 2 year old twins. We were shocked to discover they no longer offer any family tickets. Each person included 2 year old twins were charged over €11. A cost of €69 for one family is a complete rip off.

My son split his head open while there, no first aid was offered though I told them he hit his head and was bleeding. I asked for an ice pack and was handed an old used pack that wasn’t functioning, just a sharp piece of ice inside so we left to seek medical attention elsewhere. The place is dangerous with kids operating modified real diggers. Thorny briers around mouth of slide which is made from a waste deposal tube. Go-carts that we’re broken and dangerous. And the ‘train’ the most dangerous of all, wheels have been attached to barrels and are pulled behind a quad, god help you if you sit directly behind the quad, you’ll leave the ride with a black face from the fumes of the quad. No animal to pet or touch, some very very sad large birds in cages. It’s also very run down, and looks like some DIY enthusiasts put the place together and and there are additional charges for some of the activities even though the entry fee is very high. If you’re disabled there is limited access. 11euros per child is a total rip off for what it is. The food on site is incredibly expensive. We will NEVER return. It’s only a matter of time before there is a serious accident there.

Absolutely fantastic day out for young kids. I didn't read any reviews before our visit but we had an excellent day out at the farm. The staff were excellent and really seem to love working there.
The barrel rides, the big slide, the maze and petting the very friendly animals all went down a treat.
Loads of seating outside and great food for reasonable prices available in the restaurant. Followed up with lovely ice cream made on the farm.
Highly recommend a visit to the farm for any family, price is very reasonable and food prices really decent too.

Just back from Leahy’s Open Farm and if your venturing out with a young family like we have and your unsure of going out during these strange times, then this is the place to go. We are on holidays in Kinsale, Cork at the moment and decided to go to Leahy’s Open Farm today. From the moment we arrived we felt at ease and safe that all precautions and safety measures were in place. All the staff were wearing PPE in the cafe and ice cream shop. Plenty of hand sanitizer placed all around the farm. Toilet’s being cleaned, equipment being used by customers cleaned down, even outdoor seating. It’s a fantastic farm lots to do for all age groups. Kids loved the big tunnel slide and especially loved the barrel train around the forest, lots of outdoor playground. The 4 year old was a little disappointed that the indoor play area was closed but I explained why. Food was absolutely gorgeous and plenty to choose from. Staff are absolutely lovely and so friendly. It’s a little expensive for adults to pay but I actually didn’t mind paying because it was a great day out and felt so safe with the kids. Thanks for a great day.

We have visited Leahys farm many times and always find the facilities excellent. Today we went to see Santa there and we have to say it was a great experience. Santa was extremely good and the gifts were very generous.
We had never eaten in the cafe and I'm sorry to say we never will again. My wife ordered fish and chips for €10 what she got was a piece of donegal catch and a plate of frozen chips. We could have got fresh cut chips and fresh fish in a chipper for €6 , no excuse to use frozen fish when your so close to the coast. The children's burger was honestly something a dog would turn its nose at. It as like a 2 mm circle of cardboard on a bun with not so much as an onion on top. I had the sandwich accompanied by frozen chips and not even a leaf of lettuce on the plate . The sandwich was fine but not worth €10 , you'd get the very same quality in centra for half the price. The staff in the cafe were very friendly and understood when we returned the burger. In this day and age there is no excuse to serve frozen food , especially at those prices.
We look forward to our next visit to the farm but unfortunately we will be eating elsewhere.

Visited Leahy’s today for my little girls birthday for the Boo Experience. Wow we were not disappointed, from beginning to end it was just a fabulous albeit spooky experience. I have visited Leahy’s many times & it never ever disappoints. We had lunch in the restaurant which was absolutely scrumptious, from there we went across for some utterly delicious ice cream in the chocolate factory. The Boo experience was thrilling right from the get go. We mostly enjoyed the ride through the haunted forest, the wolf in the forest was a big hit with my lot & a big shout out to Tommy the driver who played a spooktacular part in the whole event. We spent a full 5 hours of action packed fun at Leahy’s, from the super new playground to pet timing in the barn. I cannot recommend this place enough for the best day out ever. I have to add the staff just go above & beyond to make Leahy’s farm such a special day out. Can’t wait to come back for more happiness, fun & laughter 🙂🙂
