We loved the medieval banquet at the Knappogue Castle! Indeed they give you mead as you come in the door, and then there is unlimited wine on the tables. Our group had a very good time enjoying all of the entertainment and the delicious and...More

I visited just to see the castle and grounds, not for the medieval banquet. The castle was okay. We saw the whole thing in less than 30 minutes. The walled garden is okay, too. Even in Ireland I've seen better castles and gardens. It was...More

The mead was fantastic but the food was mediocre tourist fare. Let me admit to being a Medieval recreationist, so I am a bit jaded. The entertainment was good though and I would have loved to have seen more of the castle itself.

We were traveling through the Ireland with a small group and this was an optional evening. It was really well done - the meal was excellent and the "staff" were also the entertainment (Irish dancing, singing, harp+violin music). It was also quite humorous and I...More

Went to Mediaeval Banquet at the castle with our tour group. A great evening. The food was good, the staff were great, interaction with guests was fun. I thought entertainment was very good.

Went with a group of 12 for dinner and the show. The staff are first class the food is not. The show was entertaining and the service was top notch. My issue was the food. For what you pay it’s not worth it. The castle...More

My wife, 6-month-old son, in-laws, and brother and sister-in-law recently spent 2 nights in the castle. The castle is closed for tours due to limited interest in the area, but they do host medieval banquets and over overnight stays. You can book through AirBNB to...More

This is a beautiful castle. Unfortunately for today for some unknown reason this beautiful place was closed. Real pity as I would love to have visited the castle inside.

Yes. You can book the castle over night. You should read my review of our stay in the castle. The only way to book the castle is with AirBNB. Book early so you can get the date you want.
